Molly The Shepherds Hut
A beautiful shepherds hut in lovely countryside surroundings, a perfect romantic getaway.. 3 steps to entrance.
All on the Ground Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: (No TV), Woodburner
Dining area.
Kitchen area: Electric Hob, Combi Microwave/Oven/Grill, Fridge, Coffee Machine
Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Biological Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner provided. Front garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. You’ll enjoy the privacy of your own outside seating area for those evening chats over a lovely bottle of wine and inside you can cosy up in front of the log burner. This shepherds hut is the perfect place for couples to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside, you’ll enjoy visiting at any time of the year be it for a couple of nights or a week-long stay.
The village of Bampton is approximately 1.5 miles and is where some scenes of Downton Abbey are filmed, you can visit the gift shop for some memorabilia. The village also famously boasts three Morris dancing teams which can be seen during the summer, their main event taking place on the spring bank holiday weekend where you can also enjoy other traditional events including the great original annual shirt race, May garlands and a flower festival. There are many country walks and cycling paths to enjoy from both Molly The Shepherds Hut and Bampton.
For more local amenities, Witney is just a short drive away and the historic city of Oxford is just over 20 miles away where you can explore the historic buildings, go punting on the river, eat and shop in the many independent and high street cafés, restaurants and shops. You are also a stone’s throw from the Cotswolds with Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton within half an hour’s drive. Carp and trout fishing is available just 8 miles away. If it’s shopping you’re after, you can take a trip to Swindon or Bicester where you will find many bargains at the outlet shopping villages. For nature lovers, the Chimney Meadow Nature Reserve is located just over 2 miles away, where you will discover many different species of birds. Pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
