The large coach doors are impressive and everyone comments on how inviting it makes the place opening the living area out into the garden with the trees and views beyond and the views out across the valley. The cottage is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need. Anita is lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The beds are really comfy and the coal fire was an added bonus. We would highly recommend a stay here.
Lovely cottage in a quiet location in the wear valley. Great space, secure garden for dogs. Loved the Christmas decor (an unexpected surprise for our early Dec stay). Good base for exploring Weardale, Teesdale, Northumberland and Cumbria!
Very warm welcome by both owners - great conversation about the house and area. The cottage is very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location provides easy access to attractions in all directions - winding roads in beautiful hill country, and lots of walks.
Just the relaxing country vacation we were looking for.
A fantastic cottage in beautiful surroundings, lovely quirky decor and a very dog friendly garden area. Loads to see and do in the surrounding area. A gem of a find.
