About this property
Trewhiddle Villa 03 Sleeps up to 9 guest
In November 2020, Together Travel had the opportunity to participate in BBC 2's 'Interior Design Masters' at one of our most popular locations; Trewhiddle Village.
Villa 3 was one of two of our spacious villas that were chosen for the Grand Final, experiencing an exceptional makeover by the finalists, subject to the expert eye of an esteemed judging panel.
The brief provided to the talented designer Siobhan Murphy, was to adapt Villa 3's cosy and contemporary interior to better utilise its large, open-plan layout for a family getaway. Spaces such as the entrance hall, landing and living area were suggested, where there was the potential to offer additional relaxation points for all ages.
As you walk in the grand entrance hall, the wealth of exciting new design touches greets you and sets the tone for the opulent nature of the rest of the home.
Entering the spacious open plan living area; swathed in a rich palette of teal, houndstooth and sumptuous golden soft furnishings, there are ample snug spots to recline with a good book, a glass of wine or other indulgent treats, whilst you gaze out to the lush Cornish countryside. The adjoining stylish and contemporary kitchen is fully-equipped with all you could need to host drinks, a tempting feast or much-needed hearty breakfasts as you dissect the weeks adventures.
Drifting upstairs, the two king-size, en-suite bedrooms have been dramatically re-imagined in a bold palette of hot pinks, luxurious golds and hot yellows offering boutique surroundings for getting ready, listening to music or enjoying a well-deserved lie-in. The bathrooms are newly refurbished featuring a clean and contemporary style, with powerful rainfall showers and deep bubbly tubs. The remaining double and triple bedroom (perfect for three children or 1 adult and 1 child) , are located on the ground floor have also undergone a stylish makeover, with on-trend geometric prints and sumptuous, Egyptian cotton linens for a peaceful nights sleep.
Guests can enjoy all the modern amenities expected with a luxury stay including a Flat Screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi, iron, ironing board and hairdryers too. Cot, highchair & sterilisers are available on request for little ones.
For those travelling in an EV or PHEV you will find the added convenience of an EV charger attached to the property. User instructions and details of cost are available in the villa. The charger is available to guests of Villa 3 only.
The villas themselves include access to over 120 acres of beautiful woodland valley, children's communal playground and gorgeous meadows, which you are welcome to explore at your leisure during your stay. In terms of location, Trewhiddle proves the perfect blend of peaceful countryside living and incredible coastal adventures.
With the breath-taking beaches of Porthpean and Pentewan less than 5 minutes' drive away, guests here can find themselves sea-side in no time, paddling in the famously gentle waters of South Cornwall, tucking into an indulgently creamy Cornish ice-cream and generally taking in the warming rays of sunshine. Pentewan in particular is easily accessible from our spacious villas, with a bike/walking trail leading directly to the beach through beautiful woodland, 2 minutes from our entrance.
For young explorers (or those young at heart!) the iconic tourist attractions of the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both less than 15 minutes' drive from the stunning wooded valley of Trewhiddle. Here you can find world-famous botanical wonders, with an incredible calendar of events to occupy even the most un-outdoorsy family members!
Providing the perfect base camp to explore South Cornwall, Trewhiddle is just a few miles from the quaint fishing villages of Mevagissey, Charlestown and Fowey where you can stock up on mouth-watering self-catering treats, tuck into freshly-caught fish and chips and browse the quaint boutiques that line the cobbled streets.
