Set at the end of a farm track and right on the edge of the sea loch New Orleans was a very peaceful, tranquil place to wind down. Comfortable and well appointed. Lots of good walking, plenty of wildlife much of which can be seen from the conservatory windows. Some of the best distilleries in Scotland are to be found in nearby Campbeltown as well as two good restaurants - Number 42 and The Ardshiel Hotel.
Otters & seals do their daily patrol past the cottage. Lucky enough to watch a megapod of 100+ common dolphins chasing a bait ball up & down the coast of Arran, spectacular. Wide variety of birds from golden Eagle, gannets, black guillemot to the energetic garden birds on the feeders. Enjoyed visiting the bird observatory at Machrihanish, cycling around Gigha, walking along the beach at Saddell to see "Grip" and the trip over the Dhorlin to Davaar. We would love to return. Thank you.
