Spacious apartment on two levels overlooking the river Ericht. Very well-equipped kitchen, lovely wood stove and a library full of interesting books.Excellent communication with the hosts. Highly recommended.
A beautiful location with a quirky property, thoughtfully prepared as a holiday destination.
Our hosts were thoughtful and welcoming.
Highly recommend a visit.
This was our third consecutive year staying at the Jute Mill. Louise and Tim are amazing hosts who cater for your every need. The property is situated in a stunning riverside location and is spacious and homely. We can’t wait to stay again.
Beautiful environment, accommodation met every expectation. Communication with owners. was first class. Only a short beautiful work into Blairgowrie. I will definitely book again when in Scotland.
We chose the Jute as a base to celebrate a special birthday in Scotland and where so glad we did. It’s an absolutely beautiful location. We could not of wished for more, everything we needed was on hand. We have stayed in a lot of Vrbo accommodations around the world, and this one definitely has five stars. We hope to return for another visit soon.
We needed to find a place quickly due to illness of our planned host. We were delighted to find The Jute Store and loved our week there. The views, the heron in the trees watching for fish, the comfortable beds, the kitchen and laundry, were all wonderful. We so enjoyed the fire in the mornings as we sat and had morning coffee and tea.
We have had a perfect stay at the Jute Store. The house is full of atmosphere, very roomy and with such a lovely, well equipped kitchen. There is even a small library! The location is perfect as well; you can start various walks right at the front door and Cairngorms Park is just an hour's drive away. A very friendly owner who does not mind last-minute requests. I'm sure we will be back!
What a lovely place tucked away on the river with fabulous view and sound of the waterfall and walks at our doorstep.. place was large .. quirky and immaculately clean .. Tim and Louise were excellent communicators. Great spot .. base for exploring the area - with fantastic butcher to stop at on the morning dog walk. A wonderful large fenced yard for the dog to run free across the pathway.. Look forward to returning soon. Thank you !
An excellent property in a lovely location by the river. The sitting room was a lovely place for my wife to relax during the day with the log burner while the kids and I travelled to Glenshee to ski. There are also some wonderful river side walls to be enjoyed. We made full use of the large family kitchen in the evenings and some of their board games too. The hosts had been very thoughtful in fully equipping the property. It would be a lovely place to return to.
A week to experience the powerful and magical nature of Scotland. Brooklynn Mill has attracted our attention. But how do we get there from the airport without a car? None of us dares to drive on the left. Louise and Tim touchingly took care of my questions. Driver, cab researched and even wrote alternatives. This was extremely helpful and relaxing before and our stay during the week. For this we are very grateful.
The house located in the middle of nature, spacious, very clean, well maintained and equipped with everything we needed and far beyond.
Four rooms are on entrance level, all carpeted.
One is the library overlooking the river. One room has two single beds, one room has a wide bed that sleeps 2- with a balcony facing the sunrise. The bed in the third room is narrower- for 2 people who like to lie close together. Two open staircases lead down to the living-dining room and kitchen. A door leads to two stairs down to the terrace. we are good at climbing stairs
We were positively surprised that the Wire is just a few meters next to the house, which connects with the river Ericht. The sound has a deeply relaxing effect. The surrounding area invites you to explore. Moss-covered ruins, fairies and elves. The paths through the forest are mystically beautiful, leading down to the shore or further along the river, 20 min. to the village of Blairgowrie.
The crane stretches its wings, a robin sits in front of us, a cute mink says hello. So grateful.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Jute Store, great walks for the dog in the Morning and Evening he loved swimming in the River. Perfect location to explore what Scotland has to offer, most major cities are close. Great house to chill and relax in, you felt you were in the country but actually not far from town and shops.
