Excellent

Stayed whilst visiting one of our children who is studying in Exeter. Lovely peaceful location, 15 minute drive from the city centre. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2024

Relaxing

Lovely place but no tv in room as stated, bed was loose and wobbly, no hand towels, pot holes were terrible and dried cereals on floor. If this was sorted would have been a perfect holiday, place is stunning and lovely cabins!

A short break

Unfortunately although it stated on the website there was a bar/ restaurant we found out that this , the restaurant wasn't open until March. We believe this could've been mentioned earlier in the ad or during the booking process or even advertised a closed until March. We couldn't fault the lodge, but we believe we had the best lodge on site, and we say this as the others looked a little tired, in need of attention to the outside. Hot tubs elsewhere on site were uncovered to the elements/mouldy and in need of some care and attention.

Lovely lodge

It was a lovely lodge and hot tub nice too although not cleaned during our 7 day stay. Clean lodge and good facilities but bed was very squeaky if you moved, which was a shame. Location on golf course gave lovely views and was peaceful most of the time.

Amazing break away!

Never heard of Fingle Glen Lodges. Booked for my partners birthday and our anniversary. What an absolutely amazing place! The attention to detail within the lodges was stunning along with the nature around. It was a amazing experience! Can't wait to go back. Thankyou to all staff for all their work keeping the place look amazing and providing me a break to remember!

Short Stay

Location fantastic. Lovely and relaxing and quiet. Clean and comfy. I would only ask that the hot tub is turned on earlier as it was still not up to temperature by 10pm of our first night there. Getting a taxi to different places can be a little expensive as there are no local taxis and they have to come from Exeter to come and get you. However the local pubs do great food.

Generally great

Very clean, but a few things looking tired (eg chipped paint). Large tv and choice of apps, but poor Internet meant few would stream. Internet for Lodge was not available, so we had to piggy back ). Loved the hot tub, but wish there had been instructions on which buttons to press, turning it off was a challenge. It was stated that bit was cleaned daily, but leaves and insects accumulated. Track to lodges was full of potholes, one section in particular wax almost impassable with a huge cluster across the whole road. Location was good for travelling throughout Devon. Lodge had most things except a blind on the door (which felt exposed at night, only a tiny baking sheet, and only 2 rolls of toilet paper. No spare kitchen cupboard for our food, but a lovely large fridge freezer. Lots of hangers in the wardrobe which makes a nice change. A lot of minor grumbles which should be relatively easy to fix. Excellent view, mostly quiet and undisturbed, clean and cosy

A Place to relax

We , my husband plus a very dear friend of ours took over our chalet in the afternoon . We couldn’t wait to see what this chalet was like having rented one on the same site last year . This one had been upgraded with modern furniture and fittings , the same style through out , even the two double bedrooms were nicely furnished ,with the same layout as the one last year. Two Very comfortable settees in grey velour in the lounge , table and chairs in a dinning area seating four . The kitchen is well equipped, right down to washing up liquid , dishwasher tablets ,tea towel ., on other occasions at such places we have taking those sort of essentials plus toilet roll with us. The beds were very comfortable with lovely white clean bedding also adequate towels for four people staying for three nights as we were. The outside space under cover is a table and chairs to watch the evening sun disappear behind the trees on the golf course , so pleasant and peaceful .To our surprise this chalet had a fully working hot tub to use as well , which delighted my husband .
