This was my family’s second time staying here, and it was perfect for our family ski trip to Okemo. It is only a 7 minute drive to the mountain, and the accommodation itself is both spacious and homey. The spacious mudroom on the first floor entryway made it easy to manage all of our boots and coats, etc. We really appreciated having a clothes dryer (and washer) this trip given how rainy it was and how wet we got in the mountain. And even though there is no stove or oven, we found all of the kitchen appliances we needed at the house to cook all of our meals (crockpot, toaster, microwave, electric skillet, George Foreman grill, steamer/rice cooker). We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful time at End of the Road home. We really enjoyed the spacious layout, fully stocked kitchen and wonderful treats. We loved how easy it was to get in and out of Ludlow. The home had great light and the beds were comfortable; fantastic stay. We definitely will be back - thank you!
My spouse and I stayed here with two members of our family for a wedding in the area. This property was perfect for us and gave everyone their own space with a great area to gather. Beautiful surroundings and the owners were very friendly and hospitable. Would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area!
Best Host, Great Property, Great Proximity to Okemo
Beautiful location, beautiful home, outstanding host, and very close to the ski slopes. Can't ask for much more! This was a return visit for us and just as wonderful as the first time.
We stayed for a short 2 day trip, but will definitely coming back for more. Pam was delightful and very accommodating and her home was incredibly cozy and very dog friendly, for our 2 medium sized rambunctious pups. The location was perfect for a trip to town or Okemo mountain. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Spacious and clean accommodation. Beds are comfy and lots of toys & games for the kids.
We forgot that there is no real kitchen but it was clearly mentioned in the posting.
I was so delighted to find such a charming place. We felt welcome from the time we arrived, and we’re greeted with the most amazing coffee cake that you could ever eat in your life. We did not want to leave and hope to return again.!

Great stay in beautiful Ludlow, VT
Our family had a lovely stay at End of the Road Stay. Pam certainly pays attention to all of the details to make a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our family was visiting Ludlow for a ski weekend at Okemo. After spending all day on the slopes, we were able to rest and recharge at End of the Road. The home was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We couldn’t have asked for more. We hope to return in the near future.

Amazing place! Immaculate, convenient and super well-equipped home
We had a wonderful time in Ludlow! The End of the Road Stay is an amazing place. We loved the house and all the details. Everything was really cozy, clean, and comfortable. Pam was a great host with little touches that made the difference. A delicious homemade welcome cake, maple syrup, fresh eggs, books for the kids, and many family games. The property is ideal for families and just 7 minutes from Okemo. Thanks Pam for the awesome hospitality!
My wife and school-age child stayed with our friends and their school-age child. Plenty of space for the 6 of us, very neat, clean, and warm accommodations. The kitchenette had everything we needed for our weekend stay, the beds/bedrooms were comfortable and the smart TVs and stash of games helped to keep the kids entertained. Pam even made us a delicious bread for the morning before our day of skiing. It snowed that day/night, but the driveway was kept well-cleared. Would highly recommend to anyone staying near Ludlow/Okemo as a ski destination getaway!
Here is the text I typed for the review of the "endOftheRoad" house:
We stayed at the "End Of The Road" for a week and were totally charmed by the experience.
The house is beautifully appointed, clean, and very cozy. The kitchen, though it does not have a stove, has enough appliances for all kinds of cooking.
The Internet works great. It has to be noted that the living quarters are on the second floor, so not wheelchair accessible.
The skiing vacation was not an issue until one of the family was injured on the slopes.
During our stay, it was snowing a lot, but the road and the yard were promptly plowed.
The owner kept in touch via text messaging and immediately answered any questions we had. We felt very well looked after, even though we never met Pam in person.
It has to be noted that for the 3 bedroom house, the price was very acceptable. And the fact that the place was offered through VRBO made it half the price of the similar accommodations offered through Vacasa which charges a fee that almost doubles the initially declared price.
We cannot thank the owners enough, very pleased by the accommodations and will definitely come back next time we are in the area.
We loved End of the Road Stay! The hosts Pam and Pete are lovely, very accommodating and caring folks.
Located in the upstairs of a private home, it has three spacious bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen/dining/living room area, seperate sitting areas. Plus a huge entry way for ski storage, etc. Very clean, beautifully & artistically appointed, cozy and comfortable.
Located at the end of a quiet Vermont road close to Okemo. We enjoyed walking around the property. Will definitely stay again!
This is one of the best properties we have stayed at. It is very warm and welcoming with every thoughtful touch provided. A built in rack to store skis, a large mud room area with racks for coats, hats, gloves, three lovely bedrooms, and a nice great room. Plus, the property has character and is an easy, five minute drive to town and the mountain. It is truly a home away from home.
We ended our tour of New England with this lovely and relaxing End of the Road VRBO. Had three days here to unwind before heading home. Enjoyed the walks in the yard, field and woods and the county road and the swing and the mountain stream. Cozy, yet spacious and so comfortable and restful.
This is a gorgeous property. It has lovely rooms and furnishings all thoughtfully and skillfully done. It has privacy and a great location. Entirely pet friendly too for our two little puppies. We have stayed in a lot of rentals in the US and Europe, and though some come close. this one is the best so far!
We really enjoyed our stay. We had plenty of room and a very peaceful environment. Pam left us lots of goodies that made us feel welcome. Our 3 year old daughter really enjoyed the toys, books and playscape! Both Pam and Pete was warm and kind, all while giving us our space. Highly recommended!
This spacious 3-bedroom apartment has a very large gathering area and could be quite comfortable for up to 6 people. The host has thought of everything and the experience was truly excellent. A great find!

Why they chose this property
Coming back to Vermont was something very important to both Pete and myself. We wanted to raise our three girls in the country, close to both families. We fell in love with the farmhouse and setting, offering true country living for our family. We love our home and the "revolving door" it had while the girls were here. We are thrilled that the next generation is now "coming home" to Mimi & Grampa DD's. Being "empty nesters", we wanted to give other folks, like you, the opportunity to fall in love with Vermont and our home.
What makes this property unique
Life is just too busy in today's world. Taking time to get away is so important, for everyone. We find that we are most relaxed at the end of a day, here at home. Watching a sunset over the mountains in the backyard; star gazing from the back hill or taking a walk up the dirt road or by the brook, we want to give you the opportunity to feel the same way. We open the upstairs of our home to you and your family or friends. We are here to welcome you and share our love of the area & Vermont with you. Once you are settled, we invite you to simply find what makes you happy and unwind. We are available as often or little as you wish.
