Off on a bad foot
The check-in process of our stay was abysmal: the agent assigned to greeting us was not prepared nor well trained. He had a jumble of keys which took him 20 minutes to access the apartment. We wanted to try the key for ourselves as we were insecure about the functioning of the lock but once inside he was extremely rushed and disorganized. The apartment was extremely dark, hot and stuffy. There were 2 fans but one ‘broke’ while he was trying to find a plug. The agent rushed out promising to come back with light bulbs, extensions cords and a new fan.
One of us went out to park the car and once back at the apartment door struggled for over 15 minutes with the lock and key. It took an additional 30 minutes to sort through all of the keys and figure out how to handle to keys for easier access.
The kitchen is ill-equipped for long-term stays; we were there for 7 nights and had plans to cook some our meals there which we were not able to do.
We communicated these deficiencies to both the agent and the agency however nothing was ever done.
Once we got over these hurdles and made things work for us the best we could, we focused more on our travel plan for Bologna.
Here is a list of further observations:
THE CONS
The apartment is old and with obsolete electrical outlets.
There is no coffee maker or toaster.
There is no visitors’ instructions / guide.
The shower drain plugs up causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor.
No characters left to continue with PROs.
