Welcome to Spikhatch Barn, dating back to 1870’s, this stunning secluded stone barn conversation has been completed to a high standard. Located on the northwest corner of West Milton, a sleepy-quiet village in the West Dorset ’Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ (AONB), just 3.5 miles northeast of the vibrant inland coastal market town of Bridport.
Stepping into the property, you are welcomed directly into the living room where you will find large comfy sofa’s, wood burner, TV with Freeview and a small library area to relax after a long day exploring. The fully integrated kitchen is perfect for the whole family, with a large breakfast bar, fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room has doors leading striaght to the patio where you may get to peak at the sheep and lambs during lamping season. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one kingsize bedroom with bunk beds and another with double bed and bunk beds. Two family bathroom service the upstairs, one with shower over bath and one with double shower. On the north side of the barn is an enclosed private parking area, with ample parking space for up to four cars.
For the walkers among us, this is the perfect place to explore, either right out the front door where there are numerous trail walks or if you wanted a day out, you will want to take in the stunning Famous Jurassic Coast which runs from Poole Harbour to Lyme Regis. This is one trip you will not want to forget the camera. Two places which are a must is Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. A day out with the children is never complete without visiting The Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World which is less than 30-minute drive from the property; both of these are perfect for the kids and adults! Closer to home is West Bay, onlly 5 miles away, home of TV hit series ‘Broadchurch’ where you explore the shingle beaches, or inland walks, there is something for everybody.
Westbay also offers fresh food stalls, pubs, restaurants and local shops. Back at the property, you can enjoy an evening under the stars with an evening outside catching up on the day or if the weather draws in enjoy an evening around the wood burner in the living room. At the west end of the building is a small self-contained storage/office unit sometimes used by the managers. Beach 5 miles.
