Beach activities such as swimming and sunbathing can be enjoyed nearby only. Head to the Salzhaff, a bayfront destination for aquatic sports such as surfing & sailing. Hiking, walking, and biking are also popular in the region. The seaside resort of Kühlungsborn with promenades and the Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock are excellent for day trips.
