Argyro's Gaia: Cave house in Kasteli, Emporio.
GAIA, is a renovated cave stone apartment of the house having area 54 sqm. This house was bought by the current owners 20 years ago. There was a house of the last century. It was restored and renovated last in April 2022 with care and respect for the traditional style.
It would be our great pleasure to be able to share with you the uniqueness and beauty of the cave apartment.

Why they chose this property
GAIA, the renovated traditional Cave Apartment has its own gate, you go down 5 wide stairs to enter the house.
The apartment is 54 sqm. combines the old Cycladic style of materials and construction with today's comforts.
Ideal for 3 people.
The apartment has comfortable interiors.
It consisting of a bedroom with queen size built-in bed and wardrobe, without partition door, a living room with single stone-build bed, a corner stone-build sofa, a stone table where you can relax and enjoy your meals.
In the open space ,is the kitchen with all electrical appliances, as well as smart TV, WiFi.
It has also warm water.
The bathroom is spacious with shower.
The stone caves do not have air conditioning, as their construction offers natural coolness and the temperature inside is about 23-25 degrees Celsius especially during the hot summer months.
The front door has a movable small window and the bathroom has a double glazed window.
Both windows have aluminium
screen and iron's the bathroom
double glazed window, for safety.
In addition, a tube system in the bedroom together with the above mentioned creates full air circulation.
The entire cave apartment at your disposal.
It is comfortable, cool as well as soundproof.
There are two outdoor cameras that are disabled from early April to early November.
From November to the end of March they are activated, because I live outside the island. The two cameras only show public and shared outdoor areas for home security.

What makes this property unique
Our house is 150 meters from the two municipal parking lots, so that accessibility is easy.
To go to the sea Perissa /Perivolo by bus you need 8 minutes.
By foot 30 minutes
To Vlychada by bus 10 minutes.
To Fira by bus 20-30 minutes (depending on traffic).
At Fira there is the main bus station from where you can travel to Oia, Immerovigli Kamari etc.
To Airport by car 20 minutes.
To port, Athinios, by car 12 minutes.
Emporio is the largest village of Santorini.
It is located in the southern part.
It is 12km from the Fira, 10 km from Airport and 6,5km from Port Athinios.
In the center of Emporio you can find super market, bank automatic, bakery, butcher shop, grocery store, cafes, restaurant, pizzerias, pharmacy.
Historical monuments:
On the road of Emporio we see on our left the high mountain of Prophet Elias and it's monastery and on our right, the low hill of Gabriel with 8 traditional of graphic windmills.
From there a wonderful sunset is offered when the sun sets behind the caldera.
The Goulas castle of the 15th century was observatory and shelter.
Kastelli was built in the 16th century.
Inside stands the church of Panagia Messiani.
