The kilometre readings given in these directions (shown in brackets) are only for guidance and may not be exact. We suggest that before you set off, you acquaint yourselves with the way your odometer works. In most cars, it is electronic. To reset most of these models, you need to press the button until the reading flashes for some time and then becomes zero. Please take care driving on these roads. FROM SITIA AIRPORT - approximately 20m Step 1 After you have collected your car at Sitia Airport follow the road round to the airport’s exit. Facing away from the terminal building, the exit is to your right. Step 2 On leaving the airport you will come to a main road, turn LEFT. Step 3 Go along this road. At the end, turn LEFT. Step 4 Follow this road, this is the main road into Sitia. (After 650m you will see LIDL on your left). Step 5 At the end of the road you will come to a roundabout with a fountain. TURN RIGHT onto the major road heading for Ierapetra. After 150m turn LEFT at the Traffic Lights. (You will pass “KΡΗΤΙΚΟΣ” (pronounced as Kritikos) supermarket on your left). After 400m, and just before the end of the road TURN LEFT in front of the Sitia Beach Hotel, go 100m to the beach road and turn RIGHT. Step 6 After 2.3km turn RIGHT, signposted to Roussa Ekklisia. (Simpson Travel sign) Wind your way up the hill for 3.0kms and taking care, look out for a Simpson Travel sign on the RIGHT which is 50m before the villa. Shortly after look for a Simpson Travel sign on the left of the road. TAKE CARE. Turn sharply to the left as directed by the sign. Go down the hill for 100m, retrieve your key (Key Safe code number: 1234), open the gate with the remote control, and turn right into the Isidora Villa parking space. Welcome to Villa Isidora! FROM HERAKLION AIRPORT - approximately 2hrs 15m Step 1 After you have collected your car at Heraklion Airport, make your way from the Departure area to the traffic lights (at this crossroads the Terminal buildings should be behind you, or on your left). Follow this road and head under the bridge following signs for “Agios Nikolaos”. The road bends sharply round to the left and you join the main National Highway. Follow signs direction “Agios Nikolaos or “Ierapetra”. NB. You may meet some road works - just continue following the same signs as previously mentioned. As long as you follow the signs for “Agios Nikolaos” you will be fine. Continue along the highway to Agios Nikolaos. Step 2 Continue on this road for some time. You will eventually pass a Shell/Peugeot/Toyota garage on your right and a bit further on, two further petrol stations one on each side of the road. You will reach a set of traffic lights, which are on the outskirts of Agios Nikolaos. Turn right at these traffic lights following the signs for Ierapetra and Sitia. Step 3 Follow this road for approximately 12kms and you will enter Istro(n) Village which has a BP petrol station on the right, and a number of cafes, shops and ATM. Exit Istro and follow the road signage for Sitia. From Istron to Sitia is approximately 55kms and around one-hour drive. This part of the highway is quite winding with a few hills so please drive steadily. Step 4 Upon entering Sitia you will pass two supermarkets and come to a roundabout. TURN RIGHT onto the major road heading for Ierapetra. After 150m turn LEFT at the Traffic Lights. You will pass “KΡΗΤΙΚΟΣ” (pronounced as Kritikos) supermarket on the you can park opposite in a large car park if you wish to stop and do some shopping. After 400m, and just before the end of the road TURN LEFT in front of the Sitia Beach Hotel, go 100m to the beach and turn RIGHT. Step 5 After 2.3km turn RIGHT, signposted to Roussa Ekklisia.
