We had an amazing time staying at this apartment. The location was perfect. Salvatore is a wonderful host and made our stay very easy and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

Great experience!
Salvatore was amazing and helped so much with everything we needed while in Florence. He told us about all of the great places to be in the city was an amazing help. The location is great and with the terrace upstairs with the view of the Duomo what else could you ask for. The apartment was extremely clean and he even provided us with things to get us started if we were too tired from our trip to go out and eat. I would highly recommend this location to anyone and I would definitely come back!

Great Location, Beautiful Apartment
Our family of 5 just spent 4 nights staying in the Appartamento Belvedere. It was by far the best place we stayed in during our 2 weeks in Italy. The location is great - near to beautiful sites, the Arno River, good restaurants and excellent gelato! The apartment was well equipped which was good for us since we did use the kitchen to cook breakfasts and a few dinners. There is also a grocery store a block away. There was air conditioning and screens on most of the windows too. I can't wait to go back and stay here again!

Our Stay in Florence
The apartment was amazing! It was only 2 blocks from the Palazzo Vecchio and EVERYTHING is the old part of Florence was accessible on foot. Salvatore met us at the apartment the evening we arrived and had water and cookies ready to greet us. He showed us how to work everything in the kitchen and gave us some excellent ideas for dining. The apartment itself had 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (one in the hall way and one in the master bedroom). The kitchen had everything one would need to cook and even had a washing machine. The living room/dining room was spacious and pleasant. We could not have found a better place to stay while in Florence. I will definitely return to this beautiful apartment and this beautiful city. I recommend Salvatore and this apartment highly!

Lovely apartment in perfect location
We stayed for one night in Belvedere and three in La Terrazza. Both apartments were lovely with updated kitchens and bathrooms. We could walk anywhere - very close to Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo. Salvatore was a perfect host - very helpful and responsive. We had coffee, milk, orange juice and a few snacks provided which was a very nice touch and much appreciated. We didn't cook in at all but the kitchens were well stocked. Best gelato right next door too. We would absolutely stay here again!

Very nice & roomy apartment with lovely balcony. We stayed in Belvedere apartment.
Very pleased with the apartment & location (great area & close to all the tourist sites). Best host ever! Salvatore went above & beyond to make sure our stay was fun, successful & stress-free. Not to mention my kids loved the cookies & yogurt that were provided at check-in. Thanks so much for your hospitality! Will stay here again if we get back to Florence!

Un domicilio fantastico. Vista mozzafiato.

Very nice at top of building with view of Duomo
The two apartments combined (Terrace and Belvedere) accommodated all 11 of us. We were able to share meals in the Terrace’s kitchen, always very nice for a large group. They are nicely located in the Santa Croce district and about 5 minutes walk from the heart of Florence. There’s a supermarket (Conad) 3 minutes from the apartments as well as one of the best Panini places on the street. Salvatore was a welcoming host and always ready to help. We’ll definitely go back next time we are in Florence.

Perfect home base for visiting Florence
We LOVED Apartment Belvedere. The building location is absolutely perfect for visiting all the sites in the historic center of Florence. It is only a 15 minute walk to just about anywhere, making it very convenient to drop back to the apartment for lunch, take a rest, pick-up forgotten stuff or drop off recent purchases. Tons of restaurants nearby, though we mainly cooked at home and ate in the snug kitchen. This is the only rental I've ever stayed at where the knives were sharp. The kitchen is adequately equipped, plenty of dishes, an efficient set of cookware, and nothing missing that didn't have a workaround. It takes ten minutes to toast bread in a panini press, in case you wondered. The apartment was actually more spacious than we expected. Very comfortable for a family or two couples willing to share the single bathroom. Beds were very comfortable, which I can attest to since I got dreadfully ill and had to spend two days lying down. Our host, Salvatore was wonderful, giving us guidance on finding antibiotics and offering to call an ambulance, which fortunately we did not need. He checked on us regularly to make sure I was all right. He also called a cab for us when we left, then came and waited with us until he was sure it had picked us up. There is no closet or wardrobe in one of the two bedrooms. The other bedroom has a large old fashioned wardrobe suitable for accessing fantasy realms. We did laundry in the washing machine, which takes two hours to do a load, as all Italian washers seem to, but it dried quickly on the balcony, which gets lots of direct sunlight. The apartments in this building are not fully wheelchair accessible, but there is a stairlift that gets you from the ground floor to within three steps of the tiny elevator that takes you up the rest of the way. There is only one step in the Belvedere apartment, between the bedrooms and the kitchen. So someone who has some ambulatory issues could still stay here. There are food shops and grocery stores in easy walking distance, but don't miss the fabulous public market with acres of fresh meat, produce, gourmet cheese, cured meats, sweets and specialty foods. It's only abut a 15 minute walk, like everything else. This was one of our very best VRBO stays. Highly recommended. You do get some street noise since you are in the heart of busy Florence, but this would be true anywhere you stay in the old city.

Wonderful Place to Stay
We absolutely loved our staff in the Giotto. The apartment was perfect and it was so wonderful working with Salvatore. He met us and then took the time to provide us information, directions to where we needed to be and ideas for things to do. We had seven adults and the apartment had plenty of room. The building has wonderful charm and perfect location. We got everywhere we wanted to go by walking. Florence is a beautiful city and all seven of us thought this apartment was perfect! Highly recommend and hope to be back!

Wonderful stay in delightful apartment
The apartment is well located; within easy walking distance to major sightseeing attractions. The apartment amenities are accurately described by the owner. The apartment was clean and the three of us found it spacious. Beds were very comfortable. The owner, Salvatore, met us at the apartment and gave us an excellent welcome. Upon our arrival he showed us how to use the appliances and generously provided some breakfast items. He took time to give us insightful restaurant and sightseeing tips for the city of Florence, including recommendations to enjoy the Calico Storico (aka human soccer) related festivities during our visit in June. We enjoyed our stay at Salvator's apartment and would rent it again on our next visit to Florence.

Wonderful Location
My 2 cousins and I stayed in this beautiful apartment (The Michelangelo unit) for 10 nights. It has been newly remodeled, but they left the charm in place (like the painted ceilings). The apartment was very clean, comfortable and large enough so that the 3 of us could spread out and not feel crowded. It is located in a lively neighborhood, with lots of shops and restaurants very close by. We walked to most of the sites, without the need of transportation. We liked having a washing machine to wash our clothes, and we also liked the big dining table to eat, drink vino and set our plans for the following day's adventures on. The kitchen is small but functional and clean. We didn't come here to cook anyway. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure in the nice new showers. Salvatore went out of his way to take my cousin to the bank to cash in her 500 euro bill. The bank didn't even want it. (advice: don't bring bills larger than 100 euro to Italy) Salvatore did get it broken for her with some hassle for him. Thank you so much for doing this, Salvatore. Checking in and out was easy. He was there at the apartment to meet us, and to help with our over-shopped stuffed suitcases when we left.. He also called the taxi for us; so helpful. We would most certainly recommend this apartment to friends and family, and would love to come back to stay if we ever get the chance to come back to this beautiful city again. We really enjoyed staying here, couldn't ask for a better location, or a nicer landlord. Thank you again. ciao, Kate

Perfect Florence Location
Our family of five just returned from a four night stay in Florence and we throughly enjoyed this apartment. It is clean and well-kept. The pictures are accurate and there was more than enough room for all of us. We loved the high ceilings, the balcony, and the fact that there was a washing machine and a dish washer. The kitchen was well stocked and the cookies, yogurt, and chilled water were much appreciated upon our arrival. Salvatore was an excellent host. He met us on time and gave us a tour of the apartment. He also suggested places to eat and was happy to answer all of our questions. From this apartment, we were able to walk to all of the places we wanted to see in Florence. We highly recommend renting from Salvatore.

Great location!
The apartment was clean w a well stocked kitchen. Salvatore left us cookies and coffee and provided soap and laundry detergent. The building is on a great street with lots of shops and restaurants, to include the best gelato in Florence. Salvatore acted like a great concierge, giving us lots of advice and answering our questions. When the city had a water emergency (for only a few hours,) he raced over with bottled water for us!

Beautiful apartment in the best location in Florence!
What a gem! We loved everything about our stay in Belvedere, from the incredibly fast and detailed responses to our questions, the wonderful welcome and orientation from Salvatore, the beautiful rooms (modern yet classic), the thoughtful providing of breakfast and coffee supplies, the gelateria next door, and most importantly, the absolutely perfect location for everything we wanted to see and do for a week. We will be sending friends here and hopefully back ourselves soon! Grazie mille.

Salvatore. Nessun difetto o critica, pienamente soddisfatto. 5/5

Couldn't have asked for anything more ...
Everything is as wonderful as the previous reviews. Salvatore was the perfect host and even after spending four weeks, I could have stayed longer. This location is perfect for exploring all of Florence on foot. The world's best sandwiches are just a couple of blocks up the street and the best gelato in Florence is next door. I would definitely recommend this apartment (the 2 bedroom with terrace) for your stay in Florence.

EXCELLENT - AWESOME - BELLA!!!!!!
Sorry took a while for me to get some free time and write this review. My wife and our 4 kids 17, 15, 15 and 9 years old had a GREAT Time here. Sal is the best! The apartment is perfect! NO CAR is needed everything is in walking distance. There is a supermarket a block away and a coin laundromat a block away as well with washer and dryers. We were able to pack very light. Kitchen is great and has everything you need!! The place is Clean and Simple. We were never in the apartment much anyway. We walked to the high speed rail and did an easy day trip to PISA got up early and returned that same night. Do the day trip to Pisa (Just don't go on a Sunday) Saturday is best with an early departure. Plenty of great restaurants all with in a few steps away!!! The Gelato place is great too downstairs. My 9 y/o son sang some traditional Italian Songs with the counter person a few nights and had a BLAST!!! We will be back in 2016!!!! Also if you are runner: Great running loop along the river with bridge crossovers. There may be a few reviews with some complaints about some pedestrian noise. Its far from bad I'm third generation NYC and it was nothing. Also make sure you go to TOUCH or TUCH Restaurant!!! Its a little bit of walk but worth it!!!! BOTTOM LINE THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!!!! 5 + 5 + 5 Stars!!!! Salvatore anytime you and your family want to come to NYC we are here for you guys!

Wonderful location, wonderful host.
Our party of 3 older adults recently stayed in this fantastically located apartment. Salvatore was so welcoming & helpful. Always just a phone all away & so ready to help us with any problems. We really appreciated the assistance he gave us. You can easily walk to all the main attractions of Florence & the lift is a bonus at the end of a long day sightseeing. Just down the street is a supermarket, a wonderful sandwich shop & next door is a gelato shop that tested my resolve every day. Gracie Mille Salvatore for everything.

Living like locals
We stayed in this beautiful apartment for 15 nights.....including two boys aged 8 and 10. It is very conveniently located near the best museums and sights and especially fabulous restaurants. A grocery store is on the next block. Salvatore and his mother, Anna, are so very generous and welcoming. They made our stay very lovely. The apartment is very well appointed and the terrace a huge bonus. It has views of the Duomo and other sites. We sat up there a lot and drank coffee or ate dinners. I think the apartment seemed larger than in the pictures. 79 steps up yet there is a lift. We only used for luggage though as I looked forward to the exercise! We walked everywhere, including the train station. A bus line is on the next street....everything is so close. With the hot summer days we did notice noise from people in the streets eating late, but the location and setting and apartment is so perfect, it's easy to overlook. Also if we didn't have the smaller children we would have been out there late too! The AC and washing machine were a huge bonus. Please book....you won't be disappointed and it will be your home in Italy.

Just Great
I was in La Terraza with my family of 6 and this apartment was perfect. It has everything you need and it was extremely clean. We were there beginning August and it had silent ACs in each room which were perfect. The location could no be better, just a few steps from Uffizzi Gallery and the Duomo. It has a supermarket and bus stop that takes you to Piazzale Michelangelo The owners, Salvatore and his mother, were very kind and friendly and wait for us although the plane was 2h delayed. He took the time to give us nice tips about the city and restaurants I recommend this aparment to everyone traveling with friends or family. The view from the terrace is simply amazing. Thank you!

This was a beautiful apartmelnt
We spent a week in Florence at this wonderful apartment. The owner’s name was Salvatore. It was an extremely clean and spacious two bedroom apartment just 10 minutes from the Duomo. We had a spectacular roof balcony that allowed us the opportunity to view a beautiful portion of Florence. On the first morning I was up on this balcony sipping coffee at the roof-top breakfast table and watching our busy Italian neighborhood awaken and come to life. This was fantastic! The apartment was exactly as it was shown on the internet. Actually it was much nicer than the photos. There were two large bedrooms with very efficient air conditioning units in each one. The living room, air conditioned as well, was large with enough room for people to sleep on a sofa and a table for dining. The kitchen was excellent. There were amble pots and pans; the area was spacious enough to cook with kitchen table for dining as well. The bathroom was modern and clean with a good size shower. The apartment was “floor two” European style. This means that you are actually had to go to the second floor to get the elevator and go to the third floor. The black marble steps were steep but manageable. There was a slow moving handicap lift to take one up to the elevator if someone needed it. We had a little difficulty with our luggage. Salvatore and our son Sean provided the assistance there. We were literally 10 minutes from the Duomo and twenty minutes from the train station! We could actually walk to any of the important museums or tourist spots within the city. The neighborhood had an abundance of delightful restaurants and several incredible pastry shops. On the first floor of our building was one of the best gelato stores in all of Florence. At certain times of the day the customer lines would flow out into, and down, the street. About two blocks away was a renowned sandwich shop that too had customers lined up out the door and down the street. The fresh sandwiches were made for every order. Sue and I found that we had to share one because of the sheer volume. Salvatore was very honest and helpful. He was helpful with information in terms of train travel, taxis, and restaurants and gift shops and special sights. He was sincere and caring about our enjoying the stay in Florence and in his apartment. When we go back to Florence we are certainly going to try to get this same apartment in the same neighborhood with the same landlord. Exceeded our expectations
