Pienza Casa Gioia
Communication with Nicolò was very easy. Proactively, he inquired as to when we would be arriving in Pienza. We explained we were driving through Tuscany and we weren’t really sure. No worries: just text when you are about an hour away. Doing so, when we did arrive, we were greeted by our hosts to a wonderfully appointed, centrally located large apartment. Split units are in each room, for your heating/cooling needs. One of the rooms is really great for kids! You will be steps away from the central square, an added convenience. The center market is on Friday, for vegetables, fruit, bread, etc. We purchased items for an evening dinner only to find additional items left as a gift for us by the hosts! The COOP market is within walking distance should you need full grocery items. Pienza is the quintessential Italian village, just the right size, not overcrowded, plenty of restaurants, and tons of culture. If you started here, you would have a very good start on Italian culture. English is easy here but be smart and learn key phrases. We loved Pienza, could live there, and our hosts and Casa Gioia were an excellent experience. Very charming and delightful.
