This cottage is located in a lovely village near lots of places to visit on Exmoor, plenty of walks and pubs to visit, the cottage is extremely clean and has everything you are likely to need for a pleasant stay, we have stayed in the cottage on and off for twenty five years so it must be good,

Crown cottage in Exford was a lovely place to stay, although old the inside is nicely modernised and very well equipped, also spotlessly clean. Lynn and James seem to have thought of everything you might need for your stay, with a welcome pack, Dvd's and games and lots of information on walks and places to visit, the information book being very helpful. There is a small grassed area beside the cottage for nighttime doggy visits and a short walk behind the cottage a grass field for doggy walks. There are 2 pub/hotels in the village, the White Horse is nice to walk to for a drink, with outside tables beside a stream. The food is only ok, a lot better at the Royal Oak at Withypool (2.5 miles). There is a Tea room near the White Horse which does a very nice breakfast. There are some very nice walks from the village, reccomend walking up to Dunkery Beacon. Places to visit nearby Minehead, Dunster village and castle, Valley of the Rocks, The Devils punchbowl at Winsford Hill. We can honestly say it was a lovely place to stay and a lovely area to visit.
