About this property
Fig Tree Cottage is a cosy two bedroom house, located in the vibrant seaside town of Whitstable.
In the winter months, enjoy cuddling up on the sofa with a throw whilst the log burner warms the room. In the summer, relax in the beautiful garden under the fig tree with a cold drink. The cottage is great to stay in all seasons and just a very short stroll to the beach, harbour and town.
You check in using a key box code. I am however local to the area, so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short drive!
Fig Tree Cottage is just a 3 minute adventure away from the quirky shops, tempting cafes, restaurants and seafront pubs and a 7 minute stroll from Whitstable train station.
You have access to all areas in the property except for the shed and one of the cupboards in the double bedroom.
Downstairs in the cottage living/dining room you will find a log burner for snuggly nights by the fire whilst enjoying a film or having a dance with the BOSE speaker! The galley style kitchen has everything you need to cook a hearty meal and a coffee machine to enjoy a frothy coffee. There is WiFi throughout the house and smart TV and DVD player in the living room.
Upstairs there is a modern bathroom comprising of a bath (with overhead rain shower), WC & basin, a spacious double bedroom and a further bedroom with bunk beds; making it ideal for a family or a couple. Families can pack light as there is a high chair, travel cot, a stairgate and a bed guard for young children.
The large mature cottage garden is perfect for an evening wind down and backs on to the famous Crab and Winkle way.
You have everything you need for a memorable seaside getaway.
There is free street parking on the road and surrounding roads. The nearest paid parking is Victoria Street car park. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc.
You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable.
There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Harbour Street, High Street, Oxford Street etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
Whitstable Taxi services are available for short fares or airport runs.
The nearest airports are in London and the nearest Ferry port is in Dover.
No smoking.
Please refrain from letting pets upstairs and on the furniture.
Please keep a noise to a minimum after 10pm to respect the neighbours
