Luxury Penthouse Oasis - Private Jacuzzi, Solarium, 3 Bedrooms
Secluded oasis in the heart of Playa - Perfect for families! Minutes from the beach and 5th Av.
Enjoy a spacious and beautifully appointed living room, 3 comfortable Bedrooms, a full featured kitchen, an outdoor terrace overlooking lush greenery, a solarium with a private hot tub, 2 pools, a great gym and a beautiful common area. All minutes from the beach and 5th av.
The space:
This is a Penthouse in luxury development Vaiven Del Mar.
Vaivén was designed by renowned architect Rodrigo de la Pena to be the highest end residential development in Playa del Carmen. As such you have unique features such as 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (hard to find in an apartment in Playa), a large rooftop Solarium with your private Jacuzzi, and stunning common areas which put you right in the middle of nature.
It truly is a secluded Oasis where the outside world disappears. The best part - its a 5 min cab ride to 5th av or the exclusive Playacar Beach (in our opinion a nicer and less crowded beach than the center of town).
You have access to all the development has to offer, including the business center, gym, your private solarium and 24 hour security.
Some of the amenities the condo offers:
- Heated pool (this becomes *very* important from November to April as it can get chilly in the afternoons and water temperature drops).
- Private rooftop Jacuzzi
- Dining table in roof terrace so you can dine 'al fresco'
- Grill to enjoy a cookout in the terrace
- High Speed wi-fi (20mb download speed) so watching Netflix, streaming video, etc. is not a problem
- Fully appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook / serve 8 people
- 3 Large Flatscreen TVs (living area, master bedroom and one of the twin bedrooms)
- HD Cable TV with over 120 channels (both English and Spanish)
- Crib and baby chair - if you are bringing an infant or a toddler we have you covered (if you need more than one just let us know beforehand).
- Assigned underground parking space inside the development.
- High end fixtures and appliances
- Washer and dryer
- High end Bose Audio System
- Dedicated Wine Fridge
- Reef access card - this will allow you to get in to the Reef hotel Beach Club for free and spend the day there (please note - this is based on availability at the hotel and they reserve the right to refuse access to any guest at any time). Also gets you a discount if you want to buy the day pass which will give you access to the all inclusive nature of the resort.
The guests have unlimited access to all the benefits the development offers:
- 2 Large pools as well as 2 kiddie pools / shallow areas
- Full featured Gym
- Business Center
- 24 hour Security / Help service
- Sunbathing chairs
- Parking spot with access card as well as guest parking
- Beautiful landscaped common areas (an interesting side note - most of the trees of the common areas are original jungle trees which the developers didint touch while they were building and designed the development around them)
Other things to note:
Maid service is aprox $30 (depending on current exchange rate). She does a thorough cleaning of the apartment, washes and changes all linens and towels, does dishes, can do laundry if you desire. We arrange it, you just let us know when you want it.
We can also recommend a professional nanny service (which we use for our kids) who are fully bilingual.
Finally, we can recommend for you a fantastic private chef, either for the duration of your stay or for a single romantic dinner in the rooftop terrace (advance reservations are recommended).

There has been a lot of talk of the sargazo lately and while the sargazo comes and goes its important to note that the beaches of the Riviera Maya, spectacular as they are, are not the only thing going on around here. Nature reserves, parks, cenotes, boat tours, diving, sailing, day trips to Chichen Itza or Valladolid, Mayan ruins... the list goes on.
That being said, if you are a beach bum (like me) I will be happy to recommend to you the *local* beaches off the beaten path which have been mostly unaffected by the sargazo and which most tourists don't know about. They remain as beautiful and pristine as ever.. and are 10 min from the condo :)

Why they chose this property
Vaiven del Mar is to my liking the nicest, most high end residential complex in all of Playa. 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, marble floors, stainless steel fixtures and high end appliances complement a beautiful and secluded pool and common area which retains all the natural vegetation prior to building, making this a perfect secluded oasis that is 5 min by car to 5th av.
