About this property
Stunning Hillside House in Langport
Summary:
A contemporary hillside home offering stunning views across the Somerset Levels. This Langport home has been completed to a very high standard, Outlook offers a luxury holiday home in a magical location perfect for a family or 2 couples too enjoy. The property boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and beautiful open plan living space. A perfect spot to explore all the area has to offer.
The Space:
The open plan ground floor living space offers a lounge area with fabulous views, brand new fully fitted kitchen and dining area. There is a ground floor bedroom offering a double bed with bunk over to suit a couple or children sharing. A downstairs shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs is the master bedroom which again enjoys the great views and a bathroom. To the front is a deck which takes full advantage of the setting.
On street parking is available.
No pets allowed
We regret no children under 5 due to position on a steep hill.
Guest Access:
Guests will have the home to themselves - the owner lives in the main house. The holiday home is located in the garden of the main house but you will have complete privacy. The accommodation is for 4 persons only - so ideal for a family of 4 or 1 or 2 couples.
Access to the property is down an alley with steps in it. There are also steps up to the cottage. So access may be an issue for people with mobility issues. The garden is on a hill with terraced levels with steps in between so this is not suitable for small children or people with mobility issues. The property is in a quiet area with close neighbours.
The Neighborhood:
A great spot for bird watching with Ham Wall and Shapwick reserves near by.
This ancient market town lies at the heart of the Somerset Levels, strategically placed at a crossing point over the River Parrett.
Its central location makes Langport both a thriving hub for the neighbouring villages, and an ideal base to explore, by car, on foot or by bike, the surrounding nearby towns such as Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater, Street and Glastonbury, and the flora and fauna of the Somerset Levels, one of England's most unchanged landscapes.
Langport boasts a fine range of modern facilities, including a post office, library, pharmacy and medical centre; retail outlets ranging from supermarkets to a wide variety of independent shops and craft workshops, and many good places to eat and drink. There are pleasant walks around the town, with attractive picnic areas beside the river and in the Walter Bagehot Town Garden, overlooking the moors.
The Hill, where we are located , the oldest part of town, provides unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside, as well as an eclectic mix of fine old buildings.
Other Things to Note:
On street parking is available.
