Completely renovated in 2022, Arngomery Cottage is a charming property set within beautiful surroundings. It forms a self-contained wing of the old coach house and stables of Arngomery Court. The two bedroom cottage has been furnished sympathetically and includes a wood burning stove in the comfortable and spacious living/dining room. The bathroom has been fully refurbished and the kitchen living room area has been opened up to create a large kitchen/living/dining room. A brand new kitchen and heating system have also been installed. Outside there is a private terrace and guests are free to enjoy the picturesque and tranquil grounds of approximately 2 acres. For young children there is a play area with a trampoline and swing. Linen, towels, cleaning and 2 baskets of logs are included in the price. Well behaved dogs are welcome (additional charge of £30). Neighboring Arngomery Stables is also available to rent for larger groups of family and friends.
Although surrounded by mature trees and fields, a pleasant 10 minute walk takes you to the little village of Kippen with its two good pub/restaurants, village shop and coffee shop. This is a great central location from which to explore the rest of Scotland. Stirling Castle and the lochs and mountains of the Trossachs are a short drive away while Edinburgh and Glasgow are just over an hour’s drive. The Highlands and the east and west coasts can also all be reached very easily.

Beautiful cottage, very nicely decorated. Kitchen and bathroom are luxurious modern. Very nice and beautiful large garden in beautiful surroundings. Very friendly hosting.
An outstanding holiday let, very comfortable and full of character. Spacious surroundings made it an excellent place for dogs. Very welcoming and helpful hosts and access to some wonderful scenery.
Excellent! Great accommodation in beautiful surroundings.
It was dark when we arrived and the owner saw us and came to show us the way to the cottage. Clear instructions listed inside, how to use the appliances, local shops and things to do and places to visit. Summary, excellent, thank you.
This property is well located for exploring on foot or by car. The surroundings are rural, the garden is lovely, and the cottage is clean, pretty and comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful.
We loved the area and that it was a quick walk to town. It’s also close to many local attractions we were interested in touring. The people in the area were so kind. There are trails to walk and birds singing, sheep on the hills. It’s just a beautiful location. Sometimes we had to make ourselves get out of the house just because we loved being there. The design on the interior was peaceful and comfortable while still feeling modern, too. The kitchen was fantastic for cooking dinners. I really can’t think of anything negative to say. Debbie and Mark were wonderful hosts and very responsive. We were there two weeks and never got bored. Highly recommend!
Thank you - we had such a lovely relaxing time - the property was stunning and we loved it! Great base for some lovely walks and lochs - we will be back!!
A lovely, warm, spacious and comfortable property on one level. The grounds were mostly lawn with fragrant shrubs in the gardens. If you love birdsong, this place with all its trees and a countryside and woodland walk right on the doorstep will suit you, as will the pretty village about a mile away - two pubs serving food, a well-stocked shop and a charming cafe which also sells delicious take-away food. The Cottage is fairly central to Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and their sights.
Debbie and Mark were really welcoming and pleasant, but unobtrusive, and brought us a new barbecue which unfortunately we could not use due to the weather being on the cold side.
Our dog loved exploring in the garden, which is safe, unless your dog is inclined to roam, in which case you might need a long lead. There are two swings and a trampoline if you have children, and plenty of strategically placed areas to sit.
I wholeheartedly recommend this cottage if you want to get away from it all but have the security of knowing there is civilisation not far away!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our short break at Arngomery Cottage, just the tonic we all needed, even with all the new Covid restrictions that had just been introduced, though it would've been lovely to have sampled the local pubs... hopefully on our next visit! The cottage was welcoming and cosy and had everything we needed. The surrounding area was stunning and you didn't have to drive far to discover a memorable view. Until next time :) x
Property was surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. It’s in a beautiful setting. Hosts were very attentive and quick to respond with any questions. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay
We had a fantastic stay!! Would highly recommend this cottage. And thank you Mark and Debbie for the lovely bag of yummies!! We will definitely stay at your home again!
Kippen was a delightful village!
Until next time!!
The cottage and the location are just as lovely as the tenants are. It is very quiet. Considering that pets are welcome it is also very clean. For kits ther is a lot to discover in the huge garden. The area is perfect to dive into the Scottish country side, with all its light hikes and beautiful lakes/lochs. We just can recommend it.

Not much luxury in this cottage
We would say that this cottage was not a luxury cottage by any means. There was certainly a lot of space but we feel it was"tired" and needed some t.l.c. The cooker was absolutely disgusting didn't fancy using it. The green bin under the table was filthy. We would not recommend this cottage.

About the host
Hosted by Deborah Quinn
We moved back to Scotland from London in 2004 and since then have been living in Arngomery Court and renting out the adjoining Arngomery Cottage. We love living in this characterful old property and over the years have been gradually refurbishing and improving things. It's a lot of work but we don't mind as it’s such a special place. Also, we have met many wonderful guests over the years and very much enjoy welcoming them back.
Why they chose this property
The cottage benefits from being out in the countryside but close enough to walk to Kippen village. It is very peaceful and surrounded by wildlife (birds of prey, roe deer, rabbits). At night it is dark and you can see the stars. There are over 2 acres of garden and woodland for guests to enjoy along with their own private dining and garden area. Kippen is a great location. It is a lovely village with 2 great pubs, a cafe, and local shop. The village is great for walking and is surrounded by woodland which dog walkers particularly enjoy. One can easily explore the Trossachs and Loch Lomond and the cities of Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
What makes this property unique
Beautiful peaceful surroundings but within walking distance of the village. Also characterful and spacious cottage with a large log burner.
