Description
Shearwater Cottage is set on Aldeburgh High Street and is just a moment’s walk from the beach and all the facilities within the town. Aldeburgh’s High Street has a wide range of restaurants, a famous fish and chip shop, designer boutiques, art galleries and delicatessens. The town is home to one of the oldest continuously running cinemas in the country.
The accommodation is arranged over two floors and this attractive dog friendly property can accommodate parties of up to five guests and one well behaved dog. Once inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen-diner and a generous living area. The main bedroom has an ensuite and two further bedrooms can be found on the second floor. Outside offers a front terrace with seating overlooking the High Street
Aldeburgh, famous for its arts and summer music festival and connections with the composer Benjamin Britten, also has a summer theatre, sailing, golf and tennis. If guests should want to venture further afield, it is conveniently located to explore the many delights of the Suffolk Heritage coastline including nearby neighbour Thorpeness, Southwold, Walberswick, Snape Maltings, Dunwich, Minsmere RSPB and Orford. Further inland are the historic market towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge and just a short distance to visit the National Trust site at Sutton Hoo, the Anglo Saxon burial ground site.
