Park alongside in your private space and take the three steps and through the small gate to your wrap-around veranda, a great place to enjoy the seaside-sun or dine al fresco style. Once inside you are greeted by a lovely open plan living space, with high ceiling. There is a very well equipped kitchen, with breakfast bar, dining area and living area with quality sofa and chairs, electric wood burner and large TV just adds to the cosy nature of this lovely place. There are two bedrooms, one with kingsize bed with TV and en-suite bathroom, boasting a modern curved cubicle shower. Bedroom two has twin beds with large storage area and to complete the property there is the family bathroom containing a bath with shower over.
The beach at Pentewan is great for swimming and for spotting sea glass too! It consists of almost white sand and can be found between the town of St Austell, with it’s fascinating mining heritage and Mevagissey. Travel a short distance and find both Carlyon Bay and Charlestown, where a step back in time becomes reality down by the quay, with it’s small fleet of tall ships. So untouched is this place, that many films have been shot here, including the TV series, Poldark. The shipwreck museum will reveal much about smuggling and wrecking along the part of the coast, whilst there are splendid restaurants and pubs here too.
Fowey, once the home of the famous author Daphne du Maurier, is set within an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and boasts narrow streets, boutique shops and many eateries. The superb architecture provides an excellent backdrop to the countryside and far reaching sea. Visit during August and enjoy the amazing spectacle that is the Fowey Regatta. For days out, the options are plentiful, with the world-renowned Eden Project and divine Lost Gardens Of Heligan close by. St Austell has lots of shops and amenities along with its excellent Wheal Martyn attraction, where the history of mining, once a huge part of life here is retold. Beach 1½ miles. Pub and restaurant 175 yards.
