About this property

Coast Cottage- traditional fisherman's cottage

Coast Cottage is a traditional fisherman's cottage, sitting just one street back from the harbourfront of St Monans. Refurbished to a high standard, this three storey home offers spacious and comfortable family accommodation for up to six guests. Oak floors and quality furnishings throughout, Coast Cottage is a delightful base for an East Neuk break.

The ground floor has an open plan lounge and dining kitchen. Exposed stone walls with a wood burning stove, bespoke fireside seating, Smeg range cooker and a deep Belfast sink combine contemporary with traditional for a beautiful finish.
The first floor has a large family bathroom with corner bath and separate shower. A double room with views towards the sea and a spacious twin room complete this level. On the uppermost level, there is a master suite; a light and airy double room with seating area and separate shower room with large walk in shower. This room also has views towards the sea.
Travel cot and high chair available on request. On street parking.
Located just seconds from the harbourfront and the coastal path which connects all of the East Neuk villages, Coast Cottage has an excellent position within the village. With three eateries just along the street ranging from cafe with takeaway ice cream to an acclaimed sea food restaurant and a popular farmers market just outside the village, St Monans is a quaint and traditional village steeped in history. The beautiful kirk has been the setting for several films, the windmill is an iconic reminder of the saltpans and the surrounding villages are easily reached on foot or by car. As well as several local golf courses, the famous Old Course at St Andrews is less than twenty minutes by car, and the East Neuk is ideal as a base for visiting further afield.

Guests will be met on arrival. We are a contact throughout your stay should we be required.

ST Monans is a charming fishing village with a coffee shop, Smokehouse and award winning restaurant. It is right on the coastal path, making surrounding villages easily accessible on foot. Twenty minute drive to St Andrews.

Very disappointing cottage

We arrived to find the cottage had not been serviced. The cottage needs major maintenance work, paint peeling off In the bathroom. One door could not be opened into wardrobe, no bedroom chairs. Windows very very dirty, Light bulb in bathroom needs replacing. Etc etc We would not book through Pittenweem Properties again.

Lovely cottage

Lovely downstairs area great for our family of 5 adults with range cooker and table for 6, just small courtyard garden out back not fully secure for dog but park 5 minutes walk. Felt the walls leading to upstairs were dirty and bathrooms needed fresh paint and some TLC to windows/ shower.
