Rockcliffe is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Dumfries and Galloway. The proximity of the beach and the secluded garden to the front make this a great location to either relax or to explore the local area. The nearby village of Kippford, the sailing centre for the southwest, has two pubs both serving food and there is a delightful walk between Rockcliffe and Kippford along the Jubilee Path through land owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Golf courses abound in the area and the local stage of the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Network is within a 15-minute drive of the house, with another stage at Mabie Forest, about half an hour by car. Rockcliffe bathing beach where you can also launch small boats and canoes is 100 yards from the front door.
