RURAL stone barn with Log Burner, tranquil setting
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space.
Get away from it all when you stay under the stars in this amazing converted cow shed in the beautiful courtyard of 16th Century Pentre Farm. Located in the secluded village of Llangwm. Look out onto this wonderful courtyard with fishpond and enjoy the silence of rural wales. A perfect place to relax, wind down and take in all this wonderful area has to offer. Just 10 minutes drive from the town of Usk which is a picturesque yet busy little town. Great shops, restaurants and pubs galore.
The entire space is solely for your use with no shared areas
We live in the most peaceful hamlet, parts of which date back as far as the 15th Century.
St John’s Church next door to us is steeped in the most incredible history but the most fascinating facts lie in the ancient Church of St Jerome at the end of our lane. This imposing towered chapel has a magnificent ancient screen which has been in the building since approx 1500 and is a Tudor Rood Screen. We have many amazing walks and bike rides around us and our general area. Pony Trekking at Abergavenny and Water Sports at the nearby Llandegveth Reservoir are a very popular pastime. You certainly won’t be stuck for things to do if the countryside is your interest. If you’d prefer a quiet relax then you can sit in the comfort of your barn and enjoy the sounds of the wildlife that the 15 acres of land and orchards that surround us, bring to us each day. A peaceful and tranquil setting that will certainly serve to relax if that is your fancy.

The setting was lovely, the barn was great space wise and the property was clean in the main. There was one dirty towel though (looked like bird poo on it). Lightbulbs out, not enough glasses, broken can opener. Little things but they could be easily checked and fixed.
It’s definitely rural! But this is exactly what we wanted! We had a lovely stay at the cottage. A really great place for exploring the local welsh countryside.
Friendly neighbours, helpful host and great food options (pubs and cafes) a 10-15 min drive away.
