Charming country home with pool on three beautifully landscaped acres, only two hours from NYC. The house is geared towards family fun, with an open layout, a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill, flat-screen TVs, washer/dryer, linens, and high-speed internet.

This secluded house with 4 bedrooms and 3 newly renovated bathrooms offers a cozy environment including a fire place, wood burning stove and screened-in porch with a full dining table. Additionally, built into a hill, the house stays cool all summer long! During the winter months, skiing and tubing are available nearby.

The first floor of the home includes two bedrooms with queen beds. Additionally, the entry-level has a full bathroom, washer/dryer, TV room (with sleeper sofa), and a wood-burning stove. Upstairs, you will find an open kitchen, which offers stainless steel appliances, perfect for preparing any meal. The second floor also includes the master bedroom with an en-suite, as well as another bedroom and full bathroom. Right off the kitchen is an oversized living area with a wood-burning fireplace.

Austerlitz lies on the border of Massachusetts and New York. It is accessible to a wealth of activities in both Columbia County and the Berkshires. There are three major ski slopes nearby, fine restaurants, theaters, films, markets, antiquing, hiking, and golf. Close to Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum, and the Shaker Museum.

Golf: There are several golf courses within 20 minutes of the property.
Skiing: Near Catamount, Butternut, and Jiminy Peak skiing.
Hiking: Numerous trails surround the house, ranging from beginner to advanced.

Rental in the woods

House was very clean, well equipped, cozy and comfortable in a very private and beautiful country setting. The large screened in porch was our favorite room with comfortable seating and a large dining table which easily accommodated 8 people. In addition, the heated swimming pool was our favorite place to relax and have fun with our family. The host was very accessible and responsive to any questions. Overall, we would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with all the amenities.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. The house is perfect as is the pool. The WiFi is also very strong. It was easy to communicate with our hosts whether something went wrong with the house or something went wrong from our end. I highly recommend a stay here!!

Had a wonderful time at this house. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to cook at home. Screened in room and pool were exceptional. Owner was quick to respond with any questions we had.

Large enclosed porch and pool

Our family spent two relaxing weeks at this home on a heavily wooded hillside on a quiet rural road. We spent most of our time in the large porch and in the pool.This is a perfect spot to relax and and get away from the stress of city life. It is close to restaurants and other activities in Chatham, NY and Great Barrington, MA as well as Tanglewood. The home is comfortable and perfect for entertaining friends.
