There is really nothing there to cook with. 6 colanders and 400 coffee filters, no paper towels, only had salt and pepper, that is it. Could have used a hand rail for the stairs. Wanted some fresh air in the upstairs bedroom but the window wouldn't open.
Wonderful place to stay in Anchorage. The owner was pleasant and available when we had questions. She also suggested things see in Anchorage. The place was clean and comfortable.
Strongly recommend it.
This is the worst vrbo experience that I have had. It started with the direction right from the Vrbo app.
Click on the get direction on the vrbo app to the property and it takes me to a completely different address. I went to the property listed and thank God I did not try to enter that building. Trying to gain entry to the wrong address in the middle of the night one would easily get some one shot? Looking for the green garbage can and the absence of a lock box was all that stopped me from knocking on the door of that address Went back to check on the listing and the address was different from what the directions the app provided me. I arrived at that address passe midnight and now don’t see what the owner described in her message. Park next to the fence and face the green garbage can?? There was absolutely no room to park. I was not sure if this address was now correct. I was so tired I went ahead anyway and went around the side to make sure this was the property. I ultimately had to block the garage in order to park. For $300 a night I expected the owner to at least make an effort to make sure that there was adequate parking!
We only wanted a quite location to get some sleep. But that was illusive because once we settled in there are weird creaking noises that sounded like there was someone walking around the place. What is up with that?? It was downright creepy. There was no wind outside so I was not sure what it might be. Then the damn flood light goes off and shines right in the window?? Looked like there were people going in and out of the place at all hours of the night. The next night the owner writes and says parking is running out again?? We just could not stay there for more than the 6 hours we spent at the property. Got up in the morning and see that even the bed linen was dirty. Again, for $300 surely one could afford to at least get some clean linens and make sure here is parking for the paying customer. Removing shoes at the door just does not cut it when the bed linens are dirty.
Our stay was very pleasant! It was conveniently located to all amenities. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions. We were very comfortable at the rental! The parking was great, and we saw moose out in the back!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Poor communication from the start
Never got information about checkin until I finally messaged the host a few hours before our stay. From there the WiFi was broken and the host made little attempt to help out with the situation. We decided to leave a night early but the host would not accommodate that request.
This was our second stay at this rental. Very quiet neighborhood. Good location in the city, minutes driving to "city life" of hustle and bustle. Rental unit very comfortable. Had a home sense to it. The polar bear home decor made me smile; felt like I never left home. Tanya was very helpful and welcoming. Good place to stay.
Tanya was a very kind and friendly host. Her guesthouse is very cozy, bright, spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Anchorage! Just be mindful that while the separate in-law unit is very private, you still can hear noises from rest of property (steps, flushing, etc) as well as normal neighborhood noises. Shampoo in shower would have been nice, but probably just a small oversight. Overall, great value!

Large but not clean and smells of stale smoke.
Lots of steps up and down to get into the rental and the same inside the rental. Nice large detached mother in law unit, with a big TV, but sticky floors, dirty dishes and stale smoke smell throughout. If you open the living room window to air it out, the neighbor smokes out there so it comes into the unit. Needs a deep cleaning. Bring your own coffee maker cuz there is not one here.

Nice location, parking space off the street, quiet setting with private entrance and large deck.
We were happy to stay in a quiet location after two weeks with a tour group. The owner responded quickly to an issue caused by the previous occupants. Everything went smoothly after that. We would recommend this property to many of our friends. One suggestion: Add chairs in the living room and one or two more on the deck. Thanks! J E and G
