Region: Equally as charming as East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire benefits from its close proximity to the surrounding regions of the Peak District to the south and the Yorkshire Dales to the north. From stately homes, to historic museums, West Yorkshire provides a wealth of culture, including the family home of the famous Brontë sisters, Parsonage Museum. Surrounded by open moorlands, cobbled streets and acres worth of countryside, West Yorkshire is an exceptional base for that rural break.

Town: The famed Bronte sisters, who lived in the little village of Haworth, were inspired by the surrounding moorland to write their works of English literature, which have since become classics. Haworth is a community that time almost forgot, with a plethora of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways, and cobblestone streets providing a lovely period ambiance, all set against a framing backdrop of famously characterised as wild, rough, and bleak in the novel Wuthering Heights landscape. The famed Keighley and Worth Valley train, an actual steam train made famous by the movie The Railway Children, is close by and offers a charming day trip with a regular service to the historic village of Oxenhope.

Fantastic base for a lovely weekend

The apartment was a great base for a group of friends and would be suitable for families with older children or teens. At the heart of the village, with everything nearby. Micheal was very helpful when we arrived and there was a lovely welcome pack.
