Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Town: Mousehole is a charming fishing community that spills down to the coast from a hillside. Visitors travel from miles away to see the charming harbour, which is encircled by a tangle of winding, tiny alleys, while Mounts Bay's St. Michael's Mount is seen in the distance. Seabirds, seals, and untamed headlands lead just around the corner to Land's End, and the area features a fantastic coastline and miles of magnificent trekking. A few miles up the coast is the Minack cliff-top theatre, and dolmens and standing stones, remnants of the area's prehistoric past, are visible everywhere. It's only 12 miles to St. Ives, which is known for its breath-taking beaches, charming port, and winding streets.
