The cottage also, unusually in town, boasts private parking on the property for up to three vehicles. A relaxing and tranquil cottage newly renovated, warmed throughout by traditional cast iron radiators, and boasting two restful double bedrooms; Wake up relaxed and refreshed in the rabbit room, decorated in tranquil greens and greys, with uninterrupted views across the expansive adjacent gardens. About the host
Hosted by John and Sarah

We like to host, as opposed to leaving it to an agent. Hosting is nothing like any job I’ve ever had - I genuinely enjoy the guest interaction, and my wife loves preparing the cottage herself. As, for better or worse(!), it was done to our taste, and by us, we love when others love it in the way we do.
Why they chose this property
Guisborough in itself has everything on the doorstep. The Priory, just across the road, is a lovely place for a walk or a picnic (or a bag full of goodies from the Brickyard Bakery two minutes away). It’s easy to forget you are in the middle of a bustling town. Loads of places in summer to sit out with a drink and watch the world go by. Or loads of places in winter to sit in by a fire and not!
There are walks in the forest 15 minutes away on foot, or get in the car to popular tourist destinations Whitby, Saltburn and the North York Moors. Park at the bottom of Roseberry Topping, climb up and enjoy the panoramic views. Or go to the less well known spots - Marske with its restaurants and micro pubs and beach, or Skinningrove (what a beach).

What makes this property unique
My wife and I acquired the property a few years back -whilst right in town, it was just so quiet and peaceful, mainly as an escape from a houseful of adult children! We then spent our time reconfiguring and renovating until it was just what we wanted. Genuinely a place to relax and unwind yet, living in a small village without amenities, it’s fantastic to have everything on the doorstep. Park up on the drive (rare in Guisborough!), drop bags, breathe!
