Dragonfly, town centre New Mills, High Peak

Ideal for large groups of friends because of the size of the bedrooms, the flexibility of the bed choices and the large living/dining area.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and it can accommodate up to 9 people.
The beds can be arranged as singles or king sized - just let me know when you book.
Themed in blues and greens with several dragonflies in the décor.
In the centre of New Mills we have good rail links with Manchester and Sheffield, New Mills Central train station just 5 minutes away.
There's also a private terrace that the bifold doors open up onto.
Great for walking or cycling in the Peak District, visiting Lyme Park or just experiencing our lovely town.
The Torrs apartments provide modern, warm, and comfortable accommodation in the Heart of New Mills.
They are quiet and private spaces but within 2 minutes walk of cafes, shops, pubs and takeaways.
There are great transport links with trains to Manchester and Sheffield and buses to Buxton, Stockport, Macclesfield and Hayfield. There are walks in all directions from the apartments that will take in the local hills, woods, rivers and canal.

They are on the first floor of a former pub that is now an amazing zero waste shop. There are stone steps up to them, with a solid handrail, so please bear that in mind when booking.

It has proven to be a popular place for friends and family to come together and spend some time exploring this delightful region. We offer a warm comfortable flat where you can feel at home and relax.

There are three self-catering apartments - Bumblebee, Dragonfly and Ladybird –
Wifi, Netflix, electricity, heating, linen and towels are all included free of charge. They all have a fully appointed kitchen, with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine (not a drier).
There are no sneaky extras.
Open all year round.

Bumblebee is a pet friendly three bedroom apartment, themed with bees, sleeping up to 6 people. It has an enclosed garden with play house.

Dragonfly is a spacious four bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms that sleeps up to 9 people. It also has a dishwasher. The bi-fold doors open out onto your private terrace.

Ladybird, has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 with a sheltered terrace garden.

They can be booked together for larger group, accommodating up to 19 people.

Weekend away

It was perfect for our girls weekend away and close to Marple where we had plans over the weekend. It had everything we needed and the living space was great for chilling out with a cuppa or glass of wine at the end of a long day. It’s a beautiful part of the country and well worth a visit.

Richard and Hazel bought the Torrs as a closed pub in 2013 and set about a complete refurbishment. It was built around 1840 and sits at one end of the main shopping street in New Mills. The 3 apartments opened to guests in 2016 and have been delighting guests ever since. The Torrs apartments - Dragonfly, Bumblebee and Ladybird - warm and comfortable places that you will feel relaxed in. They have tried to think of everything that you would want on a holiday to make your stay as straightforward and stress-free.
New Mills was named 4th best place to live in England and Wales by County Life in 2024, come and see why!
