About this property
A detached and striking, three-storey pink house oozing style and character
Pillar Box House is a large, detached and striking, three-storey pink house oozing style and character. Now available for smaller groups or a family of four using just two of the four bedrooms, this delightful abode is located in the rural Norfolk village of Hackford, yet within easy reach of pubs, shops, and the coast and beaches too.
Named after the red post box in one of its walls, the character doesn't stop there. With a commanding reception hall, inglenook fireplace, wooden floors and timbered beamed ceilings throughout, the property is beautifully furnished and styled to an exceptionally high standard. This stunning property was deservedly voted Best Holiday Cottage in the East by the Eastern Daily Press in 2022.
Enter into the beautiful reception hall leading to a spacious beamed sitting room with inglenook fireplace and cosy open fire, along with Sky TV. There are two further televisions, one in the library/snug with Apple TV; and another in the luxury master suite, which occupies the entire second floor. The kitchen and dining area are particularly spacious and well-equipped and perfect for entertaining and complemented by the wood burning stove.
There are two bedrooms available; the second floor king-size suite with en-suite shower room and a first floor twin bedroom and family bathroom. Larger groups can also enjoy the property by booking the eight guest listing of Pillar Box House, with two further double bedrooms, please see separate listing for details.
Outside, the property has a private fully-enclosed garden and separate side garden with lawn. The hot tub in the garden is the ideal way to relax after a day spent exploring the area.
Additional Information:
Children and infants welcome. Two stair gates available on request. Please provide your own travel cot and highchair.
Three well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Dog beds, bowls and treats are provided.
Due to the nature of this property there are some low beams and a low doorway from the kitchen to the sitting room.
Two baskets of firewood, some fire lighters and kindling are provided.
Pillar Box House has a hot tub which can be used by guests over the age of 18 years old.
There are two traditional Norfolk Winder Staircases offering a second access to two of the bedrooms however there is a main staircase to both the first floor and second floor. The Norfolk Winder Staircases do not need to be used to access any of the rooms if preferred.
A spa by car mobile beauty, pamper party service by Perfect Pamper is available to book during your stay, an ideal accompaniment to have when relaxing in the hot tub. Dining experiences and an afternoon tea can also be available to book during your stay. This service must be booked directly through your host. Please contact us and speak to a Bookings Advisor for further details.
For special celebrations, balloon decorations can be ordered directly through Party Balloons Norwich. Please quote 'Pillar Box House' and on receipt of your order, Party Balloons Norwich will contact the owners directly to arrange a mutual time to deliver the balloons to the house prior to your arrival.
Please note, the water in the hot tub is changed before the arrival of each guest, so it may be a little cooler than normal if you want to take the plunge as soon as you arrive, but soon warms up.
