The Cottage, Stratford upon Avon

We loved the location of the property, but felt the it was tired and even slightly shabby. Several cupboard doors were ill fitting, or loose. Other cubboards were full of clutter making storage of our own items difficult. A handle came off in my hand on a kitchen cupboard. The oven door was off its hinge making it difficult to use. There was only one wine glass. (We used our own from our picnic set). There were a few cobwebs about the place and the shower curtain was mouldy. The windows were cloudy in the bedroom. The outside dustbins were already full when we arrived and had not been emptied by the time we left. There was limited parking, of which we were made aware in advance and this was quite manageable for us, as we were generally out during the day. We have rented lots of cottages over the years, and this was definitely our most disappointing property. It was expensive for its size and its standard of decor.
