About this property
charming villa with panoramic view of Florence
60sqm of atmosphere and charm surrounded by greenery. The house stands out for its architectural uniqueness, accessed through a staircase and a sixteenth-century arch designed by the famous Renaissance architect Baccio D'Agnolo. The house is surrounded by greenery, artistic beauty, harmony, and history. It is located on the famous hill of Bellosguardo, named for the beauty of the panoramic view of Florence, a renowned and beloved place for artists of all centuries. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the historic center.
The house, with its panoramic garden and surroundings, offers unforgettable atmospheres throughout the day and into the night. It is exactly 1.2 km from the city center, and the hill is 130m high. In a short time, you can go from the tourist crowds of the center to the tranquility and greenery of our garden. It is a beautiful walk with a stunning view of the city, passing through gardens and medieval towers.
The closest point to the house is one of the most characteristic historical areas of Florence: Borgo San Frediano or Rione Oltrarno, which Lonely Planet has defined as one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world. It is known for its ancient artisan workshops that take you back in time to the history of Florence, as well as for its traditional and modern bars and restaurants with a hipster spirit.
You can reach the city's most famous places such as Lungarni, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, the Boboli Gardens, the Uffizi, etc. in a 20-25 minute walk from the house.
Public transportation stops are only 800m or 1.2km away from the house. If you take a taxi from the fixed taxi stand at Porta Romana, it will cost you between 6 and 10 euros. You can also use electric bike rentals to get around the city; the stations are 800m from the house.
The house is independent and consists of a bright and spacious living room with windows on three sides, each of which is like a painting; a comfortable and well-equipped kitchenette, a king-size bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower. In the living room, there is a sofa bed (120cm) and a futon (100cm) as well.
From the garden, the view extends over stretches of olive trees and cypresses to the city. From here, you can see the southwest side of Florence, but by moving 200m, you can enjoy the most famous view that frames all the monuments.
We can provide you with all the information to make your stay special.
During certain periods of the year, my wife and I live on the other side of the garden and can provide assistance and information when requested. In our absence, we will always be reachable and provide the same services over the phone or through a trusted person.
