Well equipped and comfortable accommodation, ideal for two couples

Excellent communication and customer service from Anchor Bay Holidays from booking to departure. This was our fourth visit to The Bay but first time booking through ABH and we would definitely do so again. Low Lake Lodge is well equipped and was warm and comfortable. The layout with two en-suite bedrooms is ideal for two couples holidaying together. The lodge overlooks a lake with outdoor seating area from which you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Plenty of parking available and decent Wi-Fi.

Comfortable and well equipped lodge for two couples

Great communication from Anchor Bay Holidays from booking to departure. The lodge was cosy, comfortable and well equipped although had not been fully cleaned on arrival: the living area had not been vacuumed or dusted and cleaning materials were left out so we finished the job ourselves! The cordless cleaner doesn’t hold a charge so could do with replacing. There were dozens of flies in the lodge so we had to purchase fly spray and a swatter! The lodge has two double en-suite bedrooms so ideal for two couples. WiFi was good and TV signal OK but could be better. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough to sit outside on the decking but there is a lovely outlook on a small lake with great sunsets. The lounge area has a sofa that seats three although one person has to sit on the central join between two seat cushions and the separate arm chair is very narrow so wouldn’t be comfortable for everyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful retreat

The resort is amazing . The communal areas are immaculate and the site has everything you need for a family holiday . The lodge on the lake was much nicer than anticipated. Very comfortable, even in January . Perfect location for the dogs as the meadow was next door . The only downsides were the newly laid hardcore on the road which made it difficult to keep the floors clean in the lodge and in the cars and the glass cabinet in the lodge that my elderly dog kept walking into . A bit more cupboard space in the kitchen and living room would have been nice . We loved it and would not hesitate in booking again .

November break in Low Lake Lodge

The lodge was in an ideal position and it was a pleasure waking up to the ducks and geese. It was a short walk to the beach which was fantastic. Not too busy at this time of year but our dog made lots of new friends. I used the pool, sauna and steam room which were well maintained and everyone was very friendly. Hubby also made use of the gym which he enjoyed. The lodge was well equipped. It needs a little bit of touching up on the skirting board and the dog sniffed out some food under the sofa but nothing major. It's in a good spot for other coastal destinations (we went to see Scarborough lights) if you can tear yourself away.

Relaxing stay in great location

Every attention to meet holiday makers needs met. Good size accommodation with lovely view over lake. Only disappointment was that the previous occupants had left the oven dirty.

Beautiful outlook

Beautiful outlook towards the lake. In a perfect position to get the afternoon sun. Had a problem the first morning with one of the showers which was dealt with the same day. A little disappointed with the beach access. It was steeper than anticipated. The pub was incredibly busy but the staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Low lake Lodge. The lodge has everything you would ever need and is like a home from home. We didn’t use all of the facilities available at The Bay, but we did eat at the John Jones on two nights and the food was good and decently priced. The communication from Anthony from booking through to the stay was really helpful and informative. Thanks for a great stay. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Long weekend in Filey

First time visit to Filey. Excellent service and communication from the letting/management company. The lodge we stayed in was in a great location overlooking the lake. The view from the veranda was beautiful. The owners had provided comfortable outside seating, cushions and throws. Inside the lodge is clean, tidy and nicely furnished. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were ideal for the three of us. The bedroom space is limited, although there is everything needed. ( came home with a massive bruise after catching my leg on the bedframe which is very solid wood). The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge comfortable although would be quite snug for four adults. Overall a lovely holiday.

Short stay with dogs

Accommodation was nice but the toilets and showers could do with bleaching. The toilet was stained. We didn’t realise we needed to take washing up stuff either so had to buy some.

Relaxing chilling great view of the lake and beautiful beach a stroll away

This is my mum and my little dog Arthur’s 3rd visit with Anchor Bay - once in one of the cottages with the beautiful glass balcony’s - but now my Favorite Low lake lodge - the view of the lake is an added bonus The lodge has everything you would expect and more - a proper home from home - where else could you get a coffee maker included and an Air fryer (better than mine!). It is such a chilling place to stay Always clean and the beds are so comfortable Bay village itself literally like a well kept village - Anthony and his team are so friendly and helpful with advice. Looking forward to booking again in a few months Beach is beautiful - you would think you were in Devon not Yorkshire and we usually get good weather even though we have only been out of season - beach is huge and extremely clean Arthur loves it Only downside is we always miss the lovely cafe at the end of the beach - we are getting closer to going as we only missed opening date by 2 days. The views are fantastic Can’t wait for my next visit it is like a home from home and I feel chilled as soon as I am unpacked

Peaceful and beautiful setting

Stayed at the Bay many times but this was the first in the meadows and alongside the lake. Beautiful setting and fed the ducks every day that came up to the decking on the lakeside of the lodge. The lodge itself has everything you need for a great stay if anything maybe too many items as not a lot of kitchen space for anything you would bring yourself. The property is very clean and well structured and appointed. Great smart TV, beds, showers etc

Lovely accommodation and location, suits people with dogs mainly.

The bedroom was a little cramped ,the design of bed meant I was constantly banging my shins because the wood protruded further out than the mattress, the bed itself however was very comfy.Didnt really like the blanket on arm chair and bed ,felt like it was for dogs, otherwise would have been perfect.

Lovely Lakeside Lodge

My lodge was perfect. Spotlessly clean, stylish and comfortable. Does need more lighting outside the whole lodge area, it is very dark! Holiday village is nice to walk around. Lovely and quiet despite plenty there and felt very safe. Great doggies are welcome. On my visit only the pub was open for food. Friendly staff but mixed quality food.

Brilliant Lodge and stay

It's the first time we've been away for Christmas and was a bit nervous as to how it would go but we needn't have worried, the Lodge was lovely, immaculately clean, cosy and to our surprise was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Absolutely everything you could possibly need is provided amd situated in a fantastic spot around the lake. We did have an issue with the ensuite shower and text to tell Anthony but told him not to worry about getting it fixed as it was during the holidays and there is another shower however within a few hours the guys were out and sorted the issue. Couldnt have asked for more. Thanks so much to all who made our Christmas so special x

Well presented

A lovely, quiet lodge. Home from home. Secure veranda for our dogs. Both bedrooms spacious and with ensuite. Would definitely recommend and be returning. The only negative thing was the access road was very poor and full of large pot holes which is not the fault of the owners. This needs sorting as it rained heavy and formed large puddles and is just washing away the terrain.

A lovely break at Low Lake Lodge

We had a lovely break at the lodge. Everything was just right and the furniture etc was all of a high quality. The lodge looked out onto the lake and the weather was kind to us so we were able to take advantage of enjoying the last of the summer rays on the decking. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the walks into Filey on the beach that we did each day. They have come home now for a rest! I would highly recommend and will definitely stay at The Bay again.

Low lake lodge

This is a lovely lodge around the lake. Very quiet area to stay and lovely view from the varanda! The lodge has everything you need and was presented very well; warm and welcoming, however for a family of 4 with a baby and dog, there's not much space! It felt quite cramped for our family situation. The village itself is great with lots to do for everyone. We enjoyed a few pub meals & drinks; the 2p machines in the arcade were a big hit with our 5 year old; the shop has the essentials; a park & pool plus the beach just a short walk away. I feel it's important to note that the end of the path is quite steep and getting a pushchair onto the beach needed two other strangers to help me carry it over some rocks!! We enjoyed our stay and visited a number of places around. Thank you
