If you like peace and quiet but also love to be close to everything, this cabin is the one you are looking for. We are located in the Aska Adventure area, very close to hiking trails, tubing and only 3 miles from downtown Blue Ridge. Our cabin is secluded, you will not see another cabin from the deck. The driveway is 100 yards long.
We are deep in the woods so we do not offer any WiFi, SATELLITE OR CABLE TV we cannot get them! Please keep this in mind when renting. We do have cell phone service...the cell tower is at the peak of the mountain we are on.
We have great views of the woods and winter views of Lake Blue Ridge.
We just relisted in June 2021. We completed repairs: new roof, porch & deck repairs, new granite countertops added in kitchen, and charcoal grill added.

The location is great. Even though you are 3 miles from Blue Ridge, it is very secluded. The cabin was stocked for everything we needed for the weekend. It was very clean. The view was great. It was very cold, and we plan to come back when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the screened in porch and fire pit.
This was our first trip to Blue Ridge so we didnt know what to expect, from the stay or the things to do. But, it was an excellent stay! The cabin was close to town, like 5 minutes, but secluded all at the same time. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Pets (dogs) are allowed but you'd never know it! I loved the fact that there was no internet or TV, it was so nice for the whole family to unplug! But, fair warning- there are no operational redboxes around we could find, so make sure you bring enough of your own dvd's. I wanted to rent a christmas movie because ours are all blu ray but unfortunately couldn't. We were able to cook breakfast and christmas dinner at the cabin thanks to all the pots and pans, etc. We will definitely be back. The kids are already asking when we can come back!
The cabin was very clean and accurate to the pictures. The gravel road to the house was steep, but with the exception of the first 50 ft or so was in good shape, and there were plenty of places to pull off if another vehicle was coming in the opposite direction. There were no close neighbors. It's located within 1/2 mile of the Aska parking area. We would stay there again.
For my first cabin trip, this place was amazing. It looks exactly like the pictures and was very cozy if you’re looking to stay in a more secluded area. Be aware that this area (not just this cabin) in general really does lack service especially when it comes to navigation, so getting a paper map will come in handy. Other than that I would definitely stay again!
I have nothing bad to say about this cabin at all !! We had an amazing stay, everything was super clean and organized, kids & dog friendly.. and the views were absolutely stunning ! I overall enjoyed my stay & I’m looking forward to visiting again !
We spent 4 days over Christmas at this cozy cabin in the woods. It was just what we needed. The cabin is amazing! This was our second, but won’t be our last time staying here. We will surely book in the future once again. The views are amazing and the town of Blue Ridge is only a short drive and a pretty cool little town. Highly recommend this cabin for a nice getaway.
Enjoyed the cabin and location. Very clean and kitchen well stocked. Enjoyed the fire pit and comfortable porch. Electronic fireplace was easy to use but the heat portion would only stay on for a very short period, not sure if that was by design. regardless the central air and heat kept the cabin at the perfect temperature. Will stay again if we get the chance.
Loved the location and property of the cabin. Beautiful woods surrounding. Quiet and relaxing. Close to hiking trails and the town of Blue Ridge.
Missing some things that I would have thought would be there or maybe say in the write up. Ex: Firewood. Tin foil, baggies…these things we had to go out for. Also no TV Remote. The only reason I’m mentioning these items, so that if, you’re reading this, you know ahead of time to bring.
Otherwise absolutely loved being there!!! It was clean, comfortable and relaxing… just what we were looking for. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
This place was PERFECT for a little getaway! Secluded on the side of a mountain. Only noises we heard were nature. The grocery store was right down the mountain so easy to swing by and stock up for what you need. We spent our morning on the screened in porch drinking our coffee and our nights by the fire pit making smores. No cable but honestly ot was nice to get away from the real world for a weekend. Being disconnected helped us refresh our minds. We will be staying here everytime we come.to Blue Ridge!
We absolutely loved this cabin! The driveway/road was not bad at all. A little bumpy at the start but not steep like some other places we’ve been. Clean and cozy! Very comfortable beds. Only downside was you only got about 5 minutes of hot water to shower. Other than that we would definitely stay here again!
Private cabin with long driveway, couldn’t see or hear the neighbors. Cabin would easily accommodate two couples and two kids. The screened in porch was spacious with three rocking chairs and a picnic table. The access road was unimproved and could be challenging for non 4wd vehicles.
Wonderful property! Good location, quiet, and cozy. 2-legged and 4 legged goers fully enjoyed it and were comfortable. We saw some deer our last day. Our front-wheel drive minivan made it up the drive, but good thing we didn’t have to go up any farther as the gravel road has huge divots that we couldn’t have done. Clean linens, kitchen, and bathroom, and comfortable beds.
However a deep clean could be used to get rid of dust on baseboards, corners, and light fixtures we were sneezing up a storm, and maybe spraying for bugs- I’m sure being in the woods it’s tough to keep all creatures out, but we did see 1 big spider and 2 roaches.
Cute cabin. I didn’t realize how many beds it had (thought there were only 2 but there are 4). Could use a little sprucing up (remove exterior cobwebs, raise small trees’ limbs that hang low hitting your car along the driveway, repair screens for screened porch, and fix the slightly leaky shower faucet). Otherwise it was a great little place to watch the deer go by in the morning and evening, have a small fire out back, hike nearby and check out Blue Ridge. Would be happy to stay here again.
This cabin was just what our family needed. It was secluded from other cabins in the area but close enough to town to be able to get any supplies we needed. Very close to some excellent hiking trails. The cabin itself was perfect for our family. It was very clean and had everything we needed. 4 nights was too short of a stay, we will be going back again.
Nice for a weekend getaway, especially if you want quiet. Far enough from the main road there is no traffic noise. Neighbors in the area, but they aren't seen or heard. Secluded but close to town - about 5-10 minutes away. Neat and clean. Had most everything we needed.
Property was as advertised. Cabin in the woods. No internet, but it was great to have a week without it. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the cabin and surrounding community. Location was convenient to the town of Blue Ridge.
Clean and quiet getaway. Great location. Wonderful communication with host. Would definitely go back!

Barely Adequate
No TV or internet. Poor selection videos and games. Dirty screened porch. Difficult access and exit to property. No hot tub. No firewood for fire pit. Overall was primitive!

What makes this property unique
We do not have any WiFi or cable TV so this is your chance to get away from it all. But do not worry, we do have cell phone service, we have a cell tower at the top of our mountain. We are just a little off the road so our cabin does not accommodate satellite or internet. But enjoy getting away from it all!
