Convenient and charming cottage

This cottage did not disappoint. It looked even prettier in person. It was well stocked and super convenient to Volcanoes National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others.

Beautiful cabin in the rainforest

We had a lovely time staying at LFC. Kathryn is a great and communicative host. Be prepared to get the best sleep of your life with the rain drops falling on the roof.

Lovely Hideaway

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the cottage. The hosts were communicative and took care of everything we needed. The space is well-stocked, and it was lovely getting to listen to a thunderstorm while we were happy and dry inside. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting VNP!

Calm and serene yet astonishing

This is a special place

The cottage is a large studio apartment in the jungle of the town of Volcano. It’s only 5 minutes from the entrance to Volcano NP. The cottage has special craftsman construction. There is a full kitchen, a dining nook, and a comfortable king bed. Catherine is helpful, available, and welcoming. I would stay here again!

I’d give 6 stars if I could!

This is an absolutely adorable cabin nestled in the woods. From the covered wooden walkway to the perfectly appointed and well stocked cozy cabin itself, we were ecstatic. The owners live next door and are the most wonderful people I’ve encountered. Communication could not be better. Everything from silverware to bedding to electronics are top notch. And the location, 5 minutes from the national park entrance is fantastic. Thank you Kathryn!

Beautiful spot in the jungle

beautifully built place in Volcano giving access to the town, the park and then nearby to black sand beaches, coffee, Hilo, etc the setting is in the forest with a beautifully built building that is quiet and peaceful. Host interactions are top notch and super friendly and informative.

Volcano stay

We wanted to stay close to the volcano on the Big Island. We found this property and decided to stay here. The host is very accommodating and has a wealth of information to share about the island. She is very pleasant and responsive. We would stay here again.

Lovely Oasis

Unique and wonderful little studio. We had everything we needed and the hosts were extremely gracious. The welcome chocolates and good coffee were especially appreciated! The location is very convenient to the Park.

Beautiful Cabin with lots of amenities!

This was the most gorgeous cabin! Lots of natural light with many, many windows and skylights. The cabin was filled with everything you could possibly need including sunscreen, toiletries, condiments, ice, and lots of extras! Also the hostess is the nicest lady! Highly recommend!

Tropical Storm Hone

Beautiful place in a beautiful location!

The cottage is perfect nestled in the rainforest! Kathryn was very kind and friendly and we had a couple nice visits. The location is very close to VNP and a nice drive to Hilo and the waterfalls.

Wonderful stay near the National Park

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the property that was just 5 mins away from the national park. At first glance, be prepared to be stunned by the wood craftmanship and rainforest feels that you'll be surrounded by. Highly recommend!

Wonderful host and cottage

Kathryn is a warm and extremely helpful host; she was prompt in her responses to my questions from start to finish, from the booking process through to checkout. Forest Cottage

Easy check-in, lots of communication with the host. This was exactly as I expected it to be. It was a peaceful stay in a beautifully crafted cottage. To us it felt like “glamping” with a small kitchen and washer and dryer. We slept very well with the nature sounds all around us. If we ever came back to the big island. I would definitely stay again. Thai made our day at the volcano national park very easy and convenient.

Great location and very accommodating host

The cottage was perfect for our visit. We visited Volcano NP during the day and went back for sunset at 4:00AM the next day to see the lava flow. Kathryn was a great host and everything worked out perfectly.

A little piece of paradise in the rainforest

Wonderful cottage for two wanting to visit Volcanoes National Park. Everything from the charming walkway to the soft and cozy bed was just as described. My husband and I were charmed and informed about all the best eateries and places to see by Kathryn, who was a terrific host. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Cottage

The craftmanship of the cottage is just beautiful! Enjoyed the design and the details of the place, especially the warm bed. Relaxing in paradise

This rental was amazing. The design of the cottage is really cool and it’s situated back in the woods for peace and quiet. It is minutes away from the national park and great local spots for food and entertainment. Kathryn was extremely helpful in planning and communicative about what to select with our arrival. We would definitely like to stay here again the the future.
