These pet friendly holiday barns are situated less than half a mile from the stunning north coast of Cornwall. The access is via a typical Cornish narrow road with beautiful scenic views of the sea peeping out through the hedgerows.
In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, Swallows barn(30109) is situated in the courtyard along with other stone converted farm barns (refs Wild Rose 30108, Honeysuckle 30110 and Stables 30111) are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. You can book all 4 cottages together catering up to twelve people with two hot tubs.
Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen as well as open-plan living. Each has its own sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Each property has access to the enclosed shared garden with picnic tables and a sea view. Each property also has access to a shared electric car charging point with a charge for use, if you require using the charging points you must bring your own lead.
This barn has the private use of a hot tub, but please note the first night the temperature may not of quite reached it’s optimal temperature due to the replenishment of fresh water post cleaning.
Located close to the coastal path a small beach Tregardock can be reached on foot is dog friendly all year around and approximately 1/2 mile away.
Whilst there are no local amenities as it is in a hamlet, but only a 5 minute car journey to the local village shops, we suggest you look at the welcome folder in the cottage to familiarise yourself to your surroundings and to discover what amenities are local to your stay.
You can reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur with its magnificent footbridge, array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must.
Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin.
Close by is Bodmin Moor, unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
