A terrible not Dreamy place and VRBO staff unhelpful
The location is in a very busy overcrowded area that was complicated by road construction. I requested to leave because I would have parked a block and a half away from the place on a very busy narrow commercial street with large buses competing to move through a narrow lane street. The apartment was very cramped for someone like me, a 5-11 senior citizen of average build. However, I could have tolerated the small place if I didn't fear for my car and my life navigating the crowded movement of traffic.
I requested VRBO support to facilitate my request to cut short this stay because the owner would not respond to my repeated messages, Upon hearing if the situation, the VRBO representative told me I should proceed with my plans to leave and that she would work with the VRBO team and the owner to facilitate my refund. Foolishly I agreed as all that she did was ask the owner to refund and the owner rejected my request because of the refund policy. A predictable response from someone motivated to keep my money despite the unsafe, a unadvertised circumstances. I am most dismayed that I have to r leave this review because it is something that should have been easily addressed. I would have tolerated largely unacceptable accommodations if they had not also been unsafe and dangerous.
As of this writing, I have not received any reply from VRBO support staff since there abruptly sending me the owner's response that he would not process my refund.
