About this property

Beautifully built waterfront home on the lake

This beautiful lake house is located on lake Catherine side of chef menture hwy. There’s 2 bedrooms with full size beds and 1 bunk room with 3 bunk beds. The camp has 1.5 bathrooms with a rinse off spot under the house. It has a nice size back porch and a connecting pier with a dock at the end for fishing or relaxing. There are 7 crab traps tied on the pier for your availability:) there is a lower part to the dock where you can tie your boat or jet ski to the dock. Plenty of parking! Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, and pans. If you book 5 or more nights I will have a complementary full propane tank for the barbecue pit and a full 5 gallon water jug in the water dispenser for your arrival. Wi-Fi with smart tvs in living room and 2 bedrooms

Family vacation

Nice quiet location on the water with fantastic view. Had lovely sunset and sunrise. The cabin had everything we needed for the week. Had some issues with outside lighting and the cleanliness of one bedroom. The host was quick at fixing the issue.

Great experience and opportunity

Place was as described. Host was very helpful and responsive. Crab cages on the VRBO’s pier created a unique opportunity for my kids to experience.

Good Times at the Camp

This place had what we needed for a good dose of nice Camp Life”. It has a lit dock for fishing and crabbing (even has a few crab traps). Close to several marinas. Really enjoyed our stay.

3rd Time's So a Charm

This was the 3rd year my family has stayed here, and we've enjoyed it every time. The host is easy to contact and quick to respond, and she has made several updates since our first year including a new grill & new bedding. If you want luxury, you won't get that here. But if you want a clean, bright, and roomy place with all the necessities & a beautiful lake view, this is it!

Just OK.. Don't recommend if you are bringing a large boat

My initial communication with the host, she came across very short and rude. She sent a payment request, and before I paid for it I verified with her that the dates were correct because it only showed one night. She said it was correct, so I paid it and she immediately messaged me that I did not pay correctly and still owed for another night. I kindly reminded her that I paid what she sent me and asked that we please fix it. Next: we received a very very long message with check in/out info and rules. I understand the need to be clear with your expectations, but the message also came across as rude. I'm sorry if previous guests have caused issues in the past but you can't put that on all future guests. The message made me very uncomfortable staying that we might do something wrong and be charged extra or that we would be charged for pre-existing damage if we didn't notice something upon arrival. Aside from the host, the house is just okay. The beds were not comfortable, and the AC is right outside of the wall by the Master bed.. it is very loud all night long. The house was clean, but the floors were oddly sticky. The lights on the pier worked, but the outlets did not so we were not able to clean our fish. The driveway is extremely narrow and the grass on either side is not well kept. There was not enough room at the house to be able to turn our truck/boat around once we were in so we had to back the boat all the way out. The freezer did not keep our food frozen

Beautiful from Sunrise to sunset

This home is surrounded by water! You can see the sunrise on one side and the sunset on the other! There is a bridge out so getting there takes a little longer but it is well worth the extra 10 minutes! With 3 bedrooms we each had our own room which was great for 3 women!

We were very happy with the property on the lake. It was very peaceful and quite. They had fishing gear and crab traps for us to use. The house very clean and very nice. The view was awesome! We will definitely stay here again when were back in Louisiana!!

Peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the big easy

My daughter and I loved our stay at the lake house. Sunsets and sunrise were gorgeous and the house had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen with anything tou might need for home cooked meals. The beds and couches were very comfy and the ambient temp was easy to control. Close to restaurants and the grocery store but still felt like we were away fr it all. Definitely anaazing way to finish our week long trip to New Orleans.. i would stay again in a second. Communication with the property owner was great and I loved it!

Louisiana Fishing at its best

1 mile from the boat launch. Caught fish at the dock and out in the boat. What a great weekend! House is set up perfect for camp style fishing, crabbing and relaxing. Highly Recommend to any nature/ outdoor enthusiasts and especially fishermen! Plan to stay here again in the future

Location was great, but inside needs some TLC- beds-linens definitely need replaced but views were beautiful and location worked well for our needs. Minimal amenities (pillows, towels, etc) no toiletries supplied (1roll TP). Bring drinking water. Great communication with property agent (keys weren’t in lockbox).

Great Fishing

We had family members from age 5 to 60 and we all had a great time! Fishing was amazing, beautiful scenery. Close enough to New Orleans to enjoy the city.

Peaceful and relaxing

We loved our stay. The house was clean and nice. It was so nice being on the water and listening to the waves. The drive to the French Quarter was not bad at all. My husband and I really enjoyed our trip. We would stay again if we go to New Orleans again.
