A camping stove and kitchen equipment is provided to be fully self-sustained. If you don’t wish to fully immerse yourselves in a frugal existence, why not enjoy and pre-order a delicious food box at time of booking? These are breakfast, barbecue or teatime treat food boxes, or maybe some fresh honey provided from the neighbouring bee colony, which are kept at a very safe distance from the hut.
Simply enjoy a walk around the village of Caston, or why not follow the Pingu Trail onto Thetford Forest? The small village of Caston is located in Breckland, with excellent access road routes to explore Norfolk. Just 4 miles from Watton and 7 miles from Attleborough, each having supermarkets, shops, cafés and restaurants. Visit the amazing north Norfolk coastline, with excellent sandy beaches, the coastal path, RSPB nature and bird reserves, and Sandringham Royal Estate, an hour’s drive away. Or explore the cultural city of Norwich, with its many shops, a cathedral, theatre, castle museum, market square, cafés and restaurants. Wroxham, known as capital of the Norfolk Broads National Park, is a delight with its daily boat hire and river trips, shopping, and waterside restaurants. Wells-next-the-Sea, 39 miles, has a picturesque harbour, excellent sandy beach, and bustling town centre.
Newmarket and Cambridge are both within an hour’s driving distance. Local National Trust properties, including Blickling Hall and Oxburgh Hall, should not be missed. If you are seeking adventure and activities, head to Thetford Forest where you can hire a Segway and there are designated walking and cycle routes for all abilities, plus picnic areas. Pub and restaurant 1 mile.
No children or babies allowed.
