Spring sunshine at the Boathouse
Wonderful few days in April. The cabin was well equipped and the off-grid facilities easy to use. Plenty firewood and enough electricity through solar/wind power to run the lights and charging devices. Completely by ourselves in isolation with wonderful scenery and some interesting wildlife. Great walks nearby too, so didn’t need to drive anywhere.

Cut off from it all
The Boathouse was the most amazing 4 days cut off from Internet...phone...people but not from Nature, fantastic views and absolute peace and quiet...throw in the winter frost, zero light pollution and clear skies, stargazing on the open deck and panorama windows it was magical.

Beautifuly remote (very private) The Bothouse is tucked away below the Tweedmouth monument. Amazing!
What an amazing place to stay. Perfect, idyllic location. Situated at the foot of the Tweedmouth monument (1 hour walk) with the most amazing views across Glen Affric. With excusive use of the Boathouse Loch. If you are looking for somewhere to relax, distress, and unwind completely off the grid, this is the ideal holiday. Sitting in the Boathouse with floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows with all aspects of weather, you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the loch and surrounding countryside (panoramic). We spent a week there and saw all manner of wonderful sites from the comfort of the armchairs, from sun to rain, to wind and amazing rainbows. Watching the weather change outside and the loch transform in colour with the changeable weather, just stunning!! The only electric available is enough to charge devices. Cooking and hot water comes from the log fired arga cooker. This property takes you back to basics and essentially cuts you off from the outside world in what would be described as a luxurious way. I could go on about how amazing this is, but the best way is to experience it. The hot tub is fantastic even in the coldest of weather. Lying in the hot tub looking out over the loch is just so relaxing. The staff at Tomich are very warm and friendly Ollie the maintenance man is the perfect host! On hand should you need him, but leaves you to your holiday in peace, the perfect balance of support versus privacy. We highly recommend this property if you truly want to get off grid and unwind without the interruptions of things like the Internet. The only problem we had in the week we were there was the trauma of packing the car to have to leave on our last day, knowing we were going back to civilisation. Thank you to Ollie and everyone at Tomich holidays for an amazing holiday. we will see you again soon.

Magical
The Boathouse is perfectly situated on the edge of a remote loch. We watched ever changing vistas through the floor to ceiling windows; rainbows, sunrises, cloud scapes and even sunshine. We rowed on and swam in the loch, jumping into the hot tub to warm up. Walked over the estate and explored the surrounding area on foot. Plodda Falls is stunning. On a wet day, Ollie arrived with water and firewood which was so helpful. The perfect place to unwind and reset.

Location, location, location
We had a wonderful stay at the Boathouse. The location is superb with lovely views over the lake, sunrises and sunsets and stillness. We felt we had our own mountain and lake. We took the boat out for a tour and there is plenty to explore by foot. The drive up in the Landeover is quite the experience. And as a bonus, Glen Affric is on your doorstep. If you want a quiet getaway and some slow living, this is the place. Hope to be back some day!

Stunning location
A real treat to stay here. Glorious location and luxurious accommodation. Use of the Landrover was an added bonus, it was really fun driving it. Fired up the hot tub a couple of times and had a little go in the boat, but not great at rowing .

Total Relaxation
We had a lovely stay. It is totally off grid so be prepared to switch off from the world completely. I was not quite prepared for being so far away so did have to go and search for further provisions which was not an issue. The use of the 4x4 was much appreciated.

Boathouse Hideaway
We absolutely loved our week trip to the boathouse. It was truly a luxury escape from everything. The views from the cabin were breath taking and the lack of wifi and phone signal really helped us to disconnect which was exactly what we were looking for. Everything being wood heated was something to plan our days around but there was nothing better than sitting out watching the stars from the wood fired tub. The team at Tomich Holidays were fantastic, they were super helpful not only with water and fire wood but also their knowledge of the local area and the best places to explore. We would 100% recommend the boathouse and will hopefully be back again in the future!

Wow, what a stunning holiday
If you are looking for a unique holiday destination away from the rigours and stress of modern life then I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The whole experience of being provided with a 4 by 4 to get to the boat house, lighting the wood burner to provide all our heat and cooking and being removed from wifi etc. was incredibly refreshing. The added bonus of being able to mill about on our own loch in the rowing boat and relax in the hot tub under the stars in complete and utter privacy really topped it off. Tommich was also a great location for accessing some of the most stunning parts of the highlands, including the beautiful Glen Affric and the stunning Plodda falls. However even if we hadn't been to these places the boat house with its views of the mountains and its loch would have provided us with all the scenery we needed. It is certainly a holiday we will never forget and never tire of eulogising about to friends and family and would encourage anyone to go and experience the boathouse which is not just a property but an immersive experience.

Relaxing stay
Lovely house in lovely location. Would have been very happy to stay longer ! The highlight was being in the hot tub in the rain under a perfect rainbow.
