About this property
Host & Stay | The View at Orchard View
Summary:
Surrounded by stunning countryside and views, this spacious three-bedroom property is the perfect base for adults to explore the Derbyshire Dales. Nestled in the enchanting village of Hognaston, The View at Orchard View is located at the gateway to the Peak District where the breathtaking landscapes form the backdrop of an unforgettable stay. Originally built in the 1950s, The View sleeps up to six guests and has been lovingly renovated and designed to maximise the stunning Derbyshire views.
The Space:
Entering via the porch, there is plenty of space for boots and to hang coats. The porch opens up into the main living area where you can relax and enjoy the elegance and spaciousness that The View at Orchard View has to offer. The lounge area also consists of a sofa and comfortable chairs, a large coffee table, log burner and TV.
The kitchen is well equipped with a range of pans, cooking utensils and cookware to create a real home from home feel. There is a large upright fridge, perfect for those wishing to entertain at home, along with a separate freezer. The kitchen also boasts a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine for added convenience.
There are three bedrooms at The View. The first two can be found on the same level as the living space and these are both twin rooms. The larger bedroom with its stunning view down the valley is down three steps off the hallway. This room has a double bed and a separate single so The View can comfortably sleep seven individuals. Each bedroom at the property also has an electric vanity mirror with shaving point/toothbrush charger.
You'll find two bathrooms at The View. Both shower rooms consist of a shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.
When staying at The View, you’ll have access to a beautiful, terraced patio and a small area of grass at the rear of the property where there is also a washing line. You'll also find BBQ facilities, as well as hard wood sun-loungers/ steamer chairs and a large dining table outside. Overlooking open countryside, the outdoor space really does make the ideal spot to relax and unwind.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to The View at Orchard View are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
We regret that The View at Orchard View does not accept children or pets and is suitable for an adults only stay.
Private on-site parking is available for 5 vehicles depending on size. The property has a private large walled area just off the village street that is perfect for parking a larger vehicle such as a truck, camper van, sailing boat, or two smaller cars.
The View at Old Orchard View is an independent property however the owner does live on site. The main part of the house and the main lawned area is strictly not for guest use.
