About this property

Sweet Blessings | Serene Mtn Views & Community Pool Access

Whether you plan to ski, hike, or check out all the attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll find Sweet Blessings an ideal home base. The two-bedroom chalet-style cabin, which sleeps six guests, is perched among the Smoky Mountains in the Chalet Village community. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, and downtown are all within a 10-minute drive. What’s more, from the cabin’s spacious wraparound deck you’ll have views of lush woodlands and the mountains themselves.

Sweet Blessings’ setting is nothing short of spectacular. Fortunately, the deck is furnished so that you can spend hours outdoors. Enjoy breakfast at the picnic table while wrens and warblers greet the day, then sip a nightcap under the stars while ensconced in one of the comfortable Adirondack chairs. The vistas are so glorious and the surroundings so serene, you’ll find it hard to believe just how close you are to everything from mountain coasters to restaurants.

The cabin’s interior is just as restful. The wood-planked cathedral ceiling gives the great room an airy, welcoming vibe, which is enhanced in winter by the golden glow of the fireplace. Once you sink into the plush sofa or one of the two roomy recliners, you might never want to get back up. Luckily there’s a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player to keep you entertained, along with free Wi-Fi.

When it comes to dining, you have numerous options. Scores of restaurants, offering everything from seafood to Italian to fondue, are just a short drive away. You can also dine either on the deck or in the great room’s dining area. Four people can comfortably sit at the round dining table, and two more can belly up to the adjacent breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, cookware and tableware you’ll need, whether you’re hosting a holiday feast or whipping up margaritas to enjoy by moonlight.

Each of Sweet Blessings’ two bedrooms includes a log-frame queen-size bed. One bedroom is on the main floor, while the second is tucked up in the loft. Having the bedrooms on separate floors allows for additional privacy. If you have extra guests, you can open the great room’s sofa, it converts to a queen-size bed.

Along with two bedrooms, Sweet Blessings has two bathrooms. You’ll be able to indulge in a long, pampering shower without worrying about a line forming on the other side of the door. Nor do you have to worry about bringing towels or linens. You’ll arrive to find plenty of clean towels in both bathrooms, the beds impeccably made up, and extra bedding ready and waiting. If you want to start your vacation with a shower or a nap, you can.

Chances are you won’t want to spend too much time sleeping, however. There’s simply too much fun to be had nearby! If you stay at Sweet Blessings in the summer, you’ll have free access to Chalet Village’s outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must. You can discover its wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls on foot, on bike, on horseback or by car. Also close by is Ober Gatlinburg, where you can ski and snowboard its slopes in winter and enjoy rides, ice-skating and a wildlife exhibit year-round. The attractions of downtown Gatlinburg include the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, mini golf and arcades. Also nearby are the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster and the Wild Bear Falls indoor water park.

No matter how you spend your day, you’ll love returning to the quiet, calm, and natural beauty of Sweet Blessings afterward. Book your stay today and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Fabuluous Smoky Getaway!

We took our family of 5 to this beautiful little cabin in Gatlinburg for a vacation, and it was wonderful. The cabin was clean and secluded and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and well-appointed cabin

We enjoyed our time there... especially when we had a mama bear and two cubs stop by and check out the deck. It was a perfect little cabin for our family of 4. We were sad to leave.

Very cozy chalet but steep walk for seniors!

Very cozy - we enjoyed it a lot. Just be advised if you have older people like we did, it’s not an easy climb from the chalet to the car

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was very beautiful. However we did not use the bedroom by the kitchen because it had a strong odor. Other than that my friend and I loved our stay. It was great.

Nice and cozy

Nice and cozy cottage in the smoky mountains. great views from the deck. The main floor bed could be upgraded/replaced as it is sagging in the middle. Could use a K-cup coffee maker, did have a coffee make, but since my wife was the only one drinking coffee, had to throw out almost a whole pot, daily. Short travel to town.

Pretty nice

We really enjoyed our stay. Our biggest complaints were that there was no washer and dryer…or it was really well hidden. Also would’ve been nice to have a dishwasher. Would’ve saved me some time instead of washing dishes by hand.

Good stay. Plumbing in need of repair.

I enjoyed my stay at the property. The property needs new plumbing. I was not able to bathe downstairs or wash dishes without the water backing up to the sink. This was a problem because I cooked daily.

Pleasant and peaceful

The cabin, was clean and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The walkway leading from the driveway to the cabin was a little narrow ,making it difficult to carry large bags without hitting the sides.also, I would recommend painting the edge of each step on the stairs with a white or yellow strip. It was hard to tell where the steps were in poor visibility. This could be an issue for elderly customers.. other than that, it was a great stay.

Great Location But...

Great location but the house is VERY dated. The kitchen appliances are ancient and didn't all work even after repairs. Kitchen was missing items to make it furnished. Beds not very comfortable. Didn't live up to how it was presented.

Daily cluster of issues & concerns

From the afternoon of our arrival it was constant issues including finding drugs in our cabin!! The only thing that was positive was my communication with the property manager. So many maintenance concerns on this rental that is nothing short of neglect which is sad because it is such a nice cabin and the location is perfect. We will ever book this cabin again? NO!!

Had to leave early

We had to leave early because septic hadn’t been pumped and entire house smelled like you know what. Property was on very steep drive. While they did RECOMMEND 4wd in description they should have required. If there was even a sprinkling of rain tires would have been spinning. Also the “ well stocked kitchen” was a joke. It was beyond basic and missing all kinds of items that would expect to fall into the “ well stocked “ category. Would definitely not consider returning

Dirty

Overall this place was very disappointing. The code wouldn't work on the door at check in which took an hour to get someone on the phone. The toilets wouldn't work and keep backing up. They sent someone out to look and he said he would fix it next week. We were only there 2 nights. I explained all of this to the office but they did nothing. Oh and the 30' ladder that was in the walk way outside of the door was a nice touch.

Sweet Blessing

Place was comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Upon arriving the downstairs toilet was running and water was on the floor. Was not able to communicate the issue until the next morning. I was able to stop the toilet and clean the floor. The toilet was fixed right away. Coffee pot did not work. Was promised a replacement would be delivered but that never happened. Kitchen is small. Need better knives to prep food with.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Horrible!! Dont stay here! Upon arrival we found a dead bat in the living room floor, hundreds of dead ants in kitchen, & bathtub full of spiders! The place was very run down! When we complained that we weren't staying, we were told a technician had to come verify the dead bat, & bugs. Also asked us to send pics, which we did. We were told we would be refunded right then but the next week we were told it would be 7-14 days! (We did get refunded after complaining about how long it would take) This home is very old & rundown & needs a lot of work! The pics must be 10 yrs old!

Cozy Cabin with Stunning Mountain Views

This cabin truly provided us with a comfortable, cozy home for our trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It has all the essentials and more, plus the most stunning mountain view. We really enjoyed watching the sunrises and the ever-changing mountain scene. This place would be perfect whether you just need somewhere to come home to in the evenings, or whether you want to spend all week inside. This is bear country and we were lucky enough to spot a family of bears down the road! For the "neighborhood" this is located in, it truly is one of the more convenient properties to get to as it is close to a main mountain road - but you should bring a vehicle that allows for manual shifting! Internet and cable worked great when relaxing, and good water temp & pressure. The management company called the second day into our trip to make sure we were doing okay. A couple changes that should be made for the next guests though: - The downstairs bathroom tub needs a good cleaning, and especially needs a new curtain as it was showing signs of mold. - There was a persistent unpleasant odor in the downstairs bedroom. This may have been caused by what appeared to be a stinkbug caught in the window or upholstery / comforter may need to be cleaned. Despite these, this property wholeheartedly deserves a 5 star rating for its comfort, convenience, and value. We felt it exemplified the mountain lifestyle surroundings and would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the house. Other reviews mentioned water issues but we had hot water for 2 adults so we were good to go. The only issue we really has is that the 2 beds are both very worn/used. They were not comfortable for our bodies but they might be for other people. The linens on the bed were also worn which is again, just a preference on our side as we typically stay in hotels with very clean and fresh linens. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. The management company sent information via email in which then I had to download an app other than VRBO to access the check in and check out instructions which contradicted the paperwork that is actually in the cabin. An additional thing to be aware of is the steep 13 degree incline of road and sharp turn that is needed to get to the house. This wasn't an issue for us in our vehicle but we did have to go up higher in the mountain to turn around so that we could back into the driveway rather than backing out of the driveway into the road that is a 13 degree incline and on a curve. As a result of the inclined road, the house sits below the road and has quite a few stairs/steps which could be an issue if you have a lot of luggage to haul down and back up when you leave. Would recommend the accommodations to others but would want them to be aware of the above items.

Multiple complaints

Not happy with this experience and would never stay here again. The only positive thing was the check in process. When we walked in, it smelled musty and dirty. The downstairs bedroom smelled so bad we had to hold our noses! There should be something listed about the long winding stairs from the car to the entrance, carrying luggage and groceries, for people with mobility issues. Heaven forbid if you happened to be in a wheelchair! There was a notebook in the living room however, the information included was more about not feeding bears and recommending local business than information about the cabin! There was absolutely NO information about operating the 3 TVs each having multiple remotes. I called the maintenance number about the smell and the TVs. I was told they would send someone out but couldn't provide even an approximate time! Who wants to spend their day inside waiting on maintenance with no idea how long it would be, while on their vacation? Trying to watch tv was so difficult and that's all you have to do when sitting in the cabin. The most upsetting thing was that I told them never mind about coming out because I didn't want to waste my day waiting on someone. I reiterated more than once that I did NOT want them to come out with me not there because I needed someone to physically show me how to operate all the TVs! When we got back for the day there was a note hanging on the doorknob that said they had been there and sprayed for the smell!

Great cabin

Had a great time and loved the cabin! Had some minor check in issues no biggie. Then our welcome crew to cabin was Momma bear and 2 cubs in the tree so had to wait. One small detail did not catch there was no washer & dryer. Maybe add in description for next time there is none. Overall awesome time

Very cute

The cabin is a little on the older side but is very cute I wish there was a washer and dryer. It says there was a pool but didn't say where it was. There was some trash and a blanket around the cabin. It does need better patio furniture. Picture shows wooden chairs, but when you arrive it's plastic cheap chairs. Location was great. Would have been nice if there was a grill and fire wood for the fireplace so we could have used it. Overall it was ok for our 4 day stay

Wouldn’t stay here again

Upon arrival we were in love with the location. Jackson Mountain homes are penny pinching and not willing to provide more than 1 towel per person for a 1 week stay. I called the office and was told I needed to provide my own. As for blankets or bedding I also was told to bring my own. This was inconvenient and disappointing because we weren’t sleeping well on the old spring beds either. The icing on the stay was the large critter that climbed on the counter and removed 6 whole biscuits and stored them in the kitchen drawer along with leaves and berries from outside. All of our requests were ignored by v trips/Jackson mountain homes.
