Fantastic property, but......
Fantastic property situated in beautiful countryside. The interior fitted to a high standard. All rooms very clean. Fabulous fitted kitchen with all appliances . (The oven door was repaired during our stay which then proceeded to fall out during use, very dangerous as it was on the hottest pizza setting). Basic amount of utensils & crockery for cooking & entertaining. All the bedrooms spacious & had plenty of storage space apart from the ground floor bedroom (mobile clothes rack ..disappointing ). Beds very comfortable with nice bedding. The heating was for our stay a constant problem - the property was extremely cold when we arrived (23rdMarch) the heating wasn't on or working. It was eventually sorted & then the oil ran out. (We were supplied with mobile electric heaters, not ideal in a large property!) Oil was delivered a day later, but still no heating! A technician was eventually called out from the management. Bathroom towel rails on a seperate heating system also didn't function in 2 of the bathrooms for the whole week. We were notified a week before our arrival to the property there would be no washing machine available ... not very practical in the muddy countryside with 4 children, 2 adult runners & generally 9 ramblers! A check of working light bulbs might help too ! If we hadn't had these problems & possibly an apology from the owner & not just the management for the inconveniences we experienced in our weeks stay this would have been a different report.
