This beautifully converted cottage, dating back to the 1800’s, is ideal for families, couples, and friends wanting that special house in a fantastic location for your unique Yorkshire getaway.

The property is a substantial stone-built cottage furnished in keeping with that cottage feel mixed with modern appliances. Entrance is gained through the small hallway. To the right is the spacious living room/kitchen, which is a fabulous room for entertaining. The kitchen features all the usual mod cons and is fully equipped for all your culinary needs should you not wish to eat at the many eateries close by. The very cosy living room area is complete with a wonderful wood burner adding extra charm and additional heat, comfortable sofas, and a Smart TV, giving a great place to snuggle up in front of the fire on those colder evenings with a glass or two of red wine. There is also a separate dining room should you wish to sit down and have a family meal, or simply play a board game. Both bedrooms are spread across the first floor, with fresh bed linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep, meaning you are fully energised for the next day’s adventure. There are not many cottages that sleep four guests that have so much space for everyone. On the first floor is a family bathroom complete with a shower over a bath, should you wish to have a long soak after a day exploring. To the rear of the cottage is the enclosed private patio area with a lawn, great for having a glass of fizz al fresco or taking in the morning air with a coffee.

You can explore the stunning North York Moors National Park, which is full of bike trails and fantastic, scenic walks, including the very popular Rievaulx Abbey. Nearby towns include Malton, Pickering, Thirsk, and York, all within 24 miles. Or if you fancied a day at the beach, Scarborough and Whitby are only approximately a 50-minute drive away!
