My husband and I had a great stay at this cabin. It is nice and private without feeling stranded in the middle of nowhere. It was very easy to access Yellowstone via the East entrance. We saw a good bit of wildlife inside the East entrance too. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you Scott and Mackenzie!
Our cabin was half way between Cody Wy. and Yellowstone. We went into the park three times it was convenient to stay at this area where the cabin was. The only sad part was the weather it rained for two of our five days it’s the mountains.
We absolutely loved our stay here! We definitely would consider staying here again in the future!
This cabin is located in a very quiet peaceful area and it was the perfect place to stay part of our trip to Yellowstone. We loved having the grill to cook food and the outdoor spaces were just so relaxing: the creek in the back was very peaceful. We lived the decor in the house and everything was very clean wand orderly. Kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need and the bathroom as well!
Was so nice to be able to get in a few hours ealier! This cabin is THE place to stay for a great vacation. Close enough to locations of interest and then nice and quiet. Thank you Scott and Mckenzie. Beautiful flowers on table and chips and dip as welcome. We will be back, going fly fishing next time. Loved this Cabin. Has all you need and then some. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at the relaxing cozy cabin. Listening to the creek while sitting out back was relaxing whether starting or ending your day. It was very clean and had the basic essentials you needed. The area has beautiful scenery and nicely placed for where we had planned on going. (Cody, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons).
My wife and I stayed for one week. This property is close to Cody and Yellowstone which are both amazing. It was a very comfortable stay with anything you could ask for. I would recommend to anyone.
Perfect location for Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Beautiful views of the sunset/mountains and a small fast-moving stream just behind the house so we left the windows open, great sleeping background noise. The family lived it.
Scott and MacKenzie were wonderful hosts, always responsive and helpful. The cabin was cute and efficient. We had everything we needed to explore during the day and relax together at night and in the mornings. The setting is quiet and we enjoyed being there immensely!
It is a nice, cozy little cabin that suited us well for our trip to Yellowstone. Michelle was a great host! The cabin has a well stocked kitchen, which was nice. My kids liked going down to the little creek right at the back as well. It is centrally located between the town of Cody and the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park and the drive either way is beautiful! Overall, we had a great trip
The cabin was an excellent place to rest during our three day exploration of Yellowstone and surrounding area. It proved to be an awesome two week vacation, and our hosts, Scott and McKenzie were super to deal with. Thanks, Dave and Janet.

Cozy cabin
This was a cozy little cabin. Perfect space for sleep and run situations if you don’t need much for space. It also has a nice view and the host is responsive and accommodating.
A few things I would have prefer though are:
- it’s a little tight for shower space.
- bedroom didn’t have much space to hold clothing
- the extra long/wide bed-frame gave me some bruises on the shines.
- indoor and outdoor furnitures are bit dated (broken parts)
- yard/bushes could’ve used some trimming.
It’s a cute cabin/cottage and very clean. It was close to East Entrance which we have found this last week to be the least congested entry! Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again!!!
The fresh flowers were a nice surprise. The place was very sweet and comfortable. We would definitely stay again. I wish we had time to enjoy the back patio.
very nice small cabin situated in a beautiful place. Can not say enough good about the hosts!!! They went over and above to solve a problem of our making, not theirs!!! Can not say thank you enough to them!!!
Secluded location. Halfway between Cody and Yellowstone. Clean and comfortable. May is not a good time to visit Yellowstone. East gate was closed while we were in Park due to weather conditions. Had to drive to South Gate. Got thru by skin of our teeth before they closed that gate as well. What would have been a 4 hour round trip drive, took 13 hours.
We moved to Cody, WY from Boston, MA in 2013 after a lifetime of desire for a quieter and more adventurous lifestyle. Wanting to live somewhere where every weekend was what we described as our dream vacation, we came upon the listing for Fort Michaels and it was love at first sight. We purchased the home and lived there happily for 3 years, slowly renovating the old hunting camp into the beautiful country cabin it is today. Now we have moved back to Cody proper and want to share our dream home in the mountains with guests traveling to this beautiful northwest corner of Wyoming for the same reasons we did.
