Some good, some not so good
The location is perfect for Malaga - it's close enough to the historic centro area to easily walk to all of the major locations, and close to bus and taxi stands, but far enough away not to be too loud at night. The host was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns through WhatsApp, which was also very nice. However, it was frustrating that the host never replied to our questions through the VRBO app messaging board - we reached out several times and never got a response. Finally they contacted us for check-in 3 days before our trip started. It was a little concerning and we almost booked somewhere else. Finally, there was some sort of smell in the apartment. First in one of the bedrooms. The host did try to fix it and sprayed some air freshener. Between the lingering bad odor and strong freshener smell, we really couldn't use one of the bedrooms for sleeping. Then the smell started coming out of the air vent - this was temporary and I think related to the ventilation equipment being near a plumbing vent on the roof. The host doesn't have much control over this as it is an apartment, but it would be something for them to pass onto the building manager to correct. If the smell/ventilation issues could have been addressed, this would be a great place to stay.
