A real gem

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The barn is amazing, so spacious and comfortable and every detail of what you might need during your stay has been considered by the owners. Simon & Sarah are very responsive & attentive hosts. The garden is south facing so we had the sun all day & it was a gift to be able to use the orchard to throw the ball for our dog. Harleston is a lovely market town to visit nearby and the local walks are very peaceful. We also found all the people we met were very friendly.

Norfolk Trip

This was the first time using an Vrbo accomodation, having previously used hotels and then camping. I don't feel it an exaggeration to say that this particular accomodation has set the measuring bar for future stays in other similar accomodations very high! First, the place was immaculately cleaned from top to bottom, the furnishings were in very good order, and the kitchen was excellent. Everything that we could think of had been provided in the kitchen, and when we had an issue with the frying pan, the landlord was exceptionally quick to provide a replacement. Speaking of the landlord, she came to greet us on arrival and was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The welcome pack was very informative, as were the binders of places to go, places to eat, and other local points of interest. The location was very quiet for most of the time we were there, except Thursday evening when the local church was practicing its bell-ringing when we wanted to sit with the door open as it was a bit warm! In the interests of fairness, the only real negative was the absence of a shower over the bath-tub in the main bathroom, as this made cleaning out the bath after use very difficult. The absence of handles around the bath also made getting out once in the tub quite an issue for my physically challenged brother. He managed, but just an observation, and is in no way a slight against this property - this really was a fantastic place to stay and I thank the landlords for having us.
