About this space
Fossdyke is now welcoming guests once again! Offering a beautiful, relaxing stay for up to 5 people. My home makes for the perfect little getaway for those looking to explore the wonders York has to offer.

Located a short 5 minutes walk away from the city centre, my home is ideal for city lovers and historians alike. There's an abundance of amenities right on your doorstep from the Bar City Walls, to heaps of cafes to try. We're open to families and longer stay upon request.
The space
GROUND FLOOR:

The entrance hall leads to the living complete with two comfy sofas, a wonderful leather armchair and gorgeous fireplace to greet you. The living room comes equipped with a large 40 inch smart TV and a host of DVD's to watch as you unwind in the evenings.

Moving through to the kitchen you'll have seating for 5 people with an extending dining table. Perfect for those nights you fancy a home cooked meal together. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you'll need for a home away from home. These include microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine and kitchenware.

We'll also provide some complementary tea, coffee, milk and a little biscuit for you. Great for a drink after a long journey.

FIRST FLOOR:

The top floor contains the bedrooms and the bathroom. The rear bedroom hosts 3 single beds with two of them in a bunk bed formation. We'll let the younger ones argue for the top bunk. This room also has brand new curtains that are perfect for those that like to sleep in a bit later.

The bathroom is right next to this bedroom and consists of a 3 piece suite complete with a shower over the bath, W/C and washbasin. There's also a heated towel rack so you'll never have to wait for your used towel to dry. We also supply a wash kit containing miniature travel sized bottles of shampoo, shower gel and soap.

The front bedroom has a double bed and a front facing view of the quiet street. All of our linen is hotel quality and professionally cleaned to the highest standard. You'll certainly be well rested during your stay.

EXTERIOR:

The rear yard has been recently renovated with large tiles and a wooden bench to enjoy the warmer days. There's also more seats and an outdoor table if you enjoy eating outside. We also have a bike shed for those looking for somewhere safe to store your bike during your visit.

Other items included are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll which will last a couple of days. If wish to purchase more for your stay there is Co-operative supermarket only 5 minutes walk away.

The property is set up to offer remote access with easy self check in and we also offer 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property. There is a small yard and parking for one car. I am afraid the estate rules will only allow cars (no vans, trailers, camper vans or motor homes.)

Other things to note
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule. Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.

No pets allowed.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
There is a designated parking space for one car. I am afraid the estate rules will only allow cars (no vans, trailers, camper vans or motor homes.)
Fines will be in place if the parking permit is not displayed on your dashboard.

TRAVEL COT
A travel cot and mattress are available to borrow upon request, subject to availability, and at an additional cost of £20. Please ensure you message before hand so that I can arrange for the installation. Guests will need to bring their own cot bedding, including a bottom sheet. (I am afraid highchair requests cannot be met).

The local community-based team of Pass the Keys® personally inspects each home to certify they have met Pass the Keys®’s Property Readiness Standard.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.

Great location for our family of 5 to stay to visit York - so close to the walls and river. Great having our own parking place. Comm No cation from host was perfect
