Castle view is an outstanding property to rent. All the rooms are so spacious with excellent facilities. The kitchen area was very impressive and well equipped. The views from the property were stunning. There were ten of us in the party 6 adult and four children aged between 10 and 6 years and not forgetting a family dog. The outside space was perfect for the adults and children. We had to keep an eye on the dog when outside though as he could quite easily scale the low wall around the garden which led into a field of sheep which was a small issue. In all a perfect family holiday place which we would definitely go to again.
We had a family of 10 stay for six nights. Great home with large rooms and you can’t beat the views of Bamburgh Castle. The kitchen and living rooms are really nice and while there was plenty of dishware, we found the cookware to be lacking. We were lucky with weather which meant the rooms were a tad warm at night even with the windows open - there are no fans in the house. The house is on the main road in town - you could hear the cars go by until later in the evening when it quieted down. Was not a real problem for us. Overall we enjoyed our stay but have two primary complaints: 1) the Wi-Fi was super slow and 2) the management company is not great at communicating. I had sent a question via VRBO app which they never responded to and then sent a few emails on Friday evening but did not hear back until mid-day on Monday. And by the time we went back and forth on email, we ran out of time to fix the two issues we had submitted to them. Overall, still a great place to stay.
